In Ohio, you can apply to take the State-Tested Nursing Assistant test. Some programs used to be set up in such a way that after 1 year you could take the LPN NCLEX but with changes to the requirements such as requiring OB clinicals, peds clinicals, etc for LPN, I don't think any school is set up this way unless they structured their program to be LPN and then LPN to RN.
Now if you were in California, you could use work experience + a pharmacology class to take the LPN's NCLEX if the board deemed you had enough experience. The last time I looked it up was 2016 so not sure if it is still allowed.

Hi! A fellow student recently told me that after 1 semester of ADN school we are able to apply and work as an LPN. Is this true? I have previously read that it was 2 semesters, but just wanted to verify. Thanks for your time!
