  1. I went back and redid them with a fresh brain and realized I missed the parts about q6hr and didn't divide my doses up! I got the correct answers this time and feel a lot better. I was really worried for a bit because there is definitely a wrong answer on a simple conversion problem. It was convert 1/150 g to mg. Her answer was 0.4
  2. I think my professor has posted some wrong answers to math questions. I'm pretty sure I've done them correctly. Would anyone take a stab at these two?? 12. Order: amoxicillin/potassium clavulanate, 20 mg/kg/day, po Q 6hrs Available: amoxicillin/potassium clavulante, 150 mg per tablet The patient weighs 166 pounds. How many tablets will you administer per dose? _________ 13. Order: ampicillin (Principen), 50 mg/ kg / day, po, Q6hrs Available: ampicillin (Principen), 250 mg per 5 mL The patient weighs 88 pounds. How many milliliters should the patient receive per dose? _________ How many milligrams should the patient receive per dose? _________
  3. I have experience here. A LOT of it. Trust me when I say- it will not matter. If you have the opportunity to make money online this way and it doesn't bother you then do it. Especially for a site like OnlyFans which is mostly contained to the website subscribers only AND you can block your entire state from accessing your content. But always be smart. Don't ever tell people you personally know in real life about it, people can be vindictive and you never know when someone will try to stab you in the back. That's the only time this will become a problem. It's incredibly difficult to become so popular that people will recognize you offline. You would have to work VERY hard at promoting it, and at that level you want people to recognize you everywhere. A lot of people say once you're online, you're there forever. Sure, but you really think your photos will be the ones that stick around for 10-15.. 20+ years?? When there are new (hotter younger etc) girls popping up every day? If you have any questions feel free to ask me.
  4. Thank you!! I am all out of free babysitters unfortunately, I would have to find someone I completely trust and pay them as well. I know the CNA pay isn't great but I guess I didn't realize it could possibly be that low. I will keep trying to tough it out at my terrible current job, thank you for your insight!!
  5. I'm a mom of 3 kids, and was in the middle of my nursing program when I had some extreme babysitter issues and could not keep attending classes. It's been a couple years and I think we are in a better spot for me to try again but I'll have to reapply and start over. My job now is terrible and I've been wanting out for years, I have a possible job opportunity to work as a CNA but would mean me quitting my current job- where I currently make my own hours. Does this sound at all feasible? I would be scraping by with the low pay, and I don't know if I would lose my mind trying to manage my kids and a normal shift job and nursing school. Should I suck it up for another few years or try to make it as a CNA while going through school?
  6. I am trying to figure out if I should withdraw from this semester. My life is a wreck right now, I am behind on all my bills and never have time for family (husband and 3 children) doing chores around the house or even taking care of myself. Our semester ends early in May, and I think if I try harder I should be able to make up 8%.. right? The points are there, it is possible. Does 8% sound like a huge gap to make up for? If I can make it through this semester then I would at least have summer off to get everything back together. Last day to withdraw is in mid-April. It's not that the material is hard (where a tutor may come in handy) but there is a lot of it and we never know which parts to focus on studying. Our teacher doesn't lecture, it's self taught :/ If I withdraw, that sets me back a lot. I'm a "second career" nursing student so time is a factor. If I did W, I would try again in fall but it would change my graduation date from May 2019 to December 2019
  7. There is a good reimbursement deal right now going on with CSU/Tri-C and their online RN to BSN program, but not sure if it will still be around in a few years. A lot of students don't want to go there because they still require clinical time for their program. I planned to do the same thing until I heard that they still have you do clinicals!
  8. Hi! A fellow student recently told me that after 1 semester of ADN school we are able to apply and work as an LPN. Is this true? I have previously read that it was 2 semesters, but just wanted to verify. Thanks for your time!
  9. I haven't started yet but I think it probably varies person to person, I know for a fact I study better with pen and paper and physical copies. I am online all the time and can't stay focused on school work because I like to have multiple tabs open and different things going on at once. I really liked the idea of keeping everything on a tablet but I know that it just wouldn't work out for me.
  10. Hi! After many years of starting and stopping this process I am finally starting nursing school this fall. I received my first dose of HepB in 2014, but then had life happen and didn't go back for the rest of the shots. Does it matter now if I go back and finish my shots? I don't have to restart the series, do I?
  11. My nursing program is set to start this fall, however I will be having a baby this summer in June. I was considering pushing back starting it a semester so that baby would be older and assuming it would be easier to handle everything. I also have a 4 year old who will be 5 this year. However, my program does not run during summer and if I start 1 semester later I will have 2 summer breaks instead of one until I can graduate/test for NCLEX. If I start this fall, I'm done in May 2015 and if I start Jan '14 then I'll be done in December 2015. It wouldn't be such a big deal if I didn't want a new job ASAP! I know I can work as a nurses aid after one semester of school, but roughly how much do they make? I support our entire family with my current job. Should I take the time off to get a better start and spend more time with baby? I know GPA isn't the most important thing in nursing school but I hear each semester builds on the last. I have asked friends and family and they all give me conflicting opinions, so I really need some advice!! Thank you so much for reading!
  12. Hello! I am 24 and a single mother. I am very interested in (eventually) working in obstetrics/neonatal. I have no experience, but am very determined. Unfortunately my GPA from high school is incredibly poor.. a long story. After some research I have found the Central School of Practical Nursing to be a(n) LPN, they do not have many requirements. I am reading more and more that I should go straight to RN, and have found Tri-C. The costs are cheaper than CSPN, and I would get a much better outcome. This is what has me a little confused lol :) More bad news, after I got out of high school I enrolled at Tri-C to take classes. I had no set goal and was not serious about it at all, big mistake! I should have never enrolled, my GPA was so low they suspended me Now I am afraid I could never get into this nursing program. Has anyone here graduated from it or attending? Is it hard to get into? How is it different from the accelerated course (in terms of time and effort) Should I just go with CSPN for now and work on RN later? Thank you so much for reading. :) :redbeathe
