the secret to passing the nclex

Nursing Students NCLEX

Here is what i did to pass the nclex.

1.)Use the random fact throwing on this discussion board

2.)Proiority, delegation, and assignment book by lacharity, bartz and somebody else.

3.)Kaplan Q bank; not the Q trainers.

4.)Far as meds look and the medications on t.v.; also know the basics beta blockers ends in lol, and so forth. Know what you check for when giving beta blockers- bp and pulse and ace inhibitors- pulse. Also drugs ending in statin control cholesterol.

5.) Pay attention to airborne, droplet, and contact precautions. There is a way you can remember which diseases go with each other in the random fact throwing in the discussion board.

6.)LOOK AT THE DISCUSSION BOARD FOR RANDOM FACT THROWING AND GET THE PRIORITY AND DELEGATION AND ASSIGNMENT STATED EARLIER. 85-90% OF MY QUESTIONS CAME FROM THOSE.

^^ i got all of your tips except for the qbanks... i looked at their sites and it costs

399 i gues.. for 1000 questions ^^

I just passed my pn boards last week and I have to include the following:

1)Go in, sit down, and take a deep, cleansing breath

2)Read each question carefully, very carefully and make sure your answer fits the question

3)Take your hand off that mouse until your sure of your choice

4)Remember, 2 of the multiple choice will be pretty obviously wrong. Thats a 50% chance you'll pick the right one (if your clueless on a ques).

5)If you have a multiple choice question that has 2 choices that sound related or parallel, only opposite ends of the spectrum, one of them is usually the answer. (...increases or ...decreases)

6)Remember, a nurse can almost always do something before calling the doc.

7)Don't pick answers that have always or exactly in them unless your 100% positive. Usually, you can eliminate those.

8)Don't even think about letting yourself panic!! Refer back to #1.

Good luck everyone!!

OMG ARE YOU SERIOUS?????? I have that prioritization delegation book and i'm scoring really low in that!! Most of the time I get 50 %, 10/20 and so on... I've only read the first 3 chapters so far, and I find the questions really difficult....Did you get to finish the entire book??? I'm panicking already and my test is at the end of September..Any additional advice would be greatly appreciated. I'm mainly focusing on my Saunders Compre Book 4th edition by Linda Anne Silvestri...
