Seattle University Fall 2022

Published

Hi everyone! It might seem early, but I wanted to start a forum for SU's 2022 BSN applicants ?

I'll be applying as a transfer and still need to finish my pre-calculus course to satisfy the prerequisites. I have a 3.76 GPA for my transfer degree, and almost 5,000 hours of hospital work as a CNA. I am a little bit nervous because I repeated some classes due to classes expiring and need to find some volunteer experience (I have none).

I'm interested in other's pre-nursing experiences and the schools they plan to apply to. Feel free to share about yourself during this stressful yet exciting time!

Specializes in CNA.

I was accepted too. Congratulations to everyone for your hard work!!

Specializes in pre nursing student.

I got accepted too !

Specializes in Certified Medical Assistant.

Congratulations @mariya12 and quinn02.

I got accepted!!

Hello all! My name is Anne and I haven't been active at all on this thread, but I have been checking it pretty frequently throughout the last couple of months. I got accepted and I am very excited to meet my future classmates!

Specializes in NAR / Pre-nursing.

Reading everyone's acceptance is so nostalgic for me. CONGRATULATIONS!! As I mentioned before and as mentioned in the reposted image, keep your heads up if you got waitlisted. SO many people get off the waitlist allll the way into late September. My advice for the those waitlisted is to send your transcripts after each quarter to show your continuous academic excellence and interest (I recommend doing this for any school... I'm not sure if it can help but it's what I would do) and take a deep breath.

For those who got accepted, celebrate and get excited! You'll start hearing from SU in the coming months with more information and steps. To get more familiar with the program, student life, and ask questions there's an Instagram page @seattleubsn. If anyone has question, you can reach out to me [email protected] and I'd be happy to chat ! Also, you'll get assigned a mentor in the Summer if you choose to sign up for the mentorship program! See you in September!

What did you do at the time being when you are waiting? If you don't mind me asking. I have completed all my prerequisites and received my Associates in prenursing with honors. So I have nothing really to update with the school. I have turned in a letter of continued interest the day before they release the acceptance decision. I am not sure if it was reviewed but it was acknowledged that they have received it. I included in my letter my recent  accomplishments at work. I am a little frustrated because if I don't get in this Fall, I'd have to repeat some of my science classes because they are expiring.

I was fortune and got accepted on the first round. I don't represent SU in any other way then just being a student. All I know is that SU is driven by their mission statement and they take a holistic approach to applications. What I recommend doing is seeing if you can talk with your advisor about your application and the next steps. Don't lose hope yet!

Thanks!

Hey everyone! Congrats on those that got in!! I was also accepted. I’m curious on how you all plan to pay for it? Seattle U was my top choice, but I didn’t realize how expensive it is!  Weighing my options and trying to figure out what makes sense.

Hi friends!

For those who are planning to start in the fall, where do you plan on living? Do you already live in the area? They do not offer transfer student housing on campus and I am from out of state!

Hi there, I’ve been planning to go to nursing school for a while and decided to save up for about a couple years now. My best bet would be applying for scholarships or quickly getting a part time job. Don’t forget to also apply for FAFSA for SU and see how much they offer you.
