  1. Congratulations! I would say be yourself! Review the essay you submitted for application. Look up SU's website particularly the College of Nursing. I believe there are YouTube videos about the nursing program too. Unpack your strengths and traits that aligns the mission and vision of the school. Also it is important to know your weaknesses and how did you overcome and learn from it. How do you cope up with stress? Why SU? Why nursing? SU loves diversity. Make sure say something about it and EQUITY. They are very nice! My interview was via zoom and we started off with.. getting to know kind of conversation to break the ice and I guess to feel more comfortable. If you are struggling to answer a question, look up videos how to respond to a hard question. Be prepared. Be confident. You got this!
  2. Hi, I'm so sorry to hear about your situation. It would be best to contact the transfer advisor in Seattle U. You can send them an email for any questions. They are very nice and helpful.
  3. I got off the waitlist. SU offered me a spot, I’m starting this Fall22. Is there a fb group for this cohort?
  4. Please join our fb group! We would love to connect!

  6. Hello, It takes about 2 weeks for me to attend info session, and one on one meeting with the site director. If you are eligible and fit for the program, they will give you the link to apply for the program, submit your transcripts. It will take 1-2 more weeks for the decision. I believe they are accepting applicants for Fall and Spring, 25 students per cohort. I'm not sure how many have been accepted for Fall. It requires 50hrs of study and school time. It is a hybrid program so it only requires 2 or 3 days per week in school/clinical site. The facility is going to be in Lynnwood. I anticipate the rigor of this program so I may be working part time/ per diem or I may have to quit my job. I don't have the full schedule of the semester yet, but it starts 1st week of September. I hope this is helpful and good luck!
  7. Of course! Email me @ [email protected] if you have questions. We are probably going to be in the same cohort. Exciting!
  8. Congratulations! Are you starting this Fall?
  9. In all honesty, it depends on your life situation. At this point, I don’t have any other options. The pandemic put a toll on me.. I guess to alot of us. I became a mom and didn’t realize it’s been 3years since I got my Associates in prenursing. I’m still waitlisted at SU and still hopeful. It would be nice to have breaks and not suppress all the infos in a scrunched time of learning. My classes are about to expire and I don’t want to repeat them to reapply for next year. So I really need to get started this fall. Also, I don’t want to take the long route of RN to BSN then to MSN/DNP. My end goal is DNP too..in nurse anesthesia. If you have more flexibility and want to save $ for school, then reapplying next year to SU wouldn’t be a bad idea. And I agree you still have options to DNP when you take the ABSN. The big thing with the 16months program is money and your support system. In the end.. whatever route you take, it’s gonna be all worth it.
  10. It was great! The site director was really nice. I applied and submitted my transcripts. I just got my acceptance last week and placed my deposit (goes towards tuition) to save my spot. Goodluck!
  11. Hello, Just wanted to check here if someone applied or got accepted to this new ABSN program of PLU launching in Fall22 or Spring23?
  12. Yes, I have. The first round of waitlist status update is not making any offers. They will continue to monitor and if a spot is available, they will reach out. However, I have submitted a letter of continued interest to show my enthusiasm and gratitude for considering me (being offered the waitlist). I made sure that I mention that they are my #1 choice of school. I am also applying to PLU's new ABSN program. I had an interview and spoke with the site director yesterday. I will hear in 2 weeks if I will get admitted. They are hoping to start this Fall. If not, Spring2023. Good luck on your nursing journey!
