Hi everyone! It might seem early, but I wanted to start a forum for SU's 2022 BSN applicants ?
I'll be applying as a transfer and still need to finish my pre-calculus course to satisfy the prerequisites. I have a 3.76 GPA for my transfer degree, and almost 5,000 hours of hospital work as a CNA. I am a little bit nervous because I repeated some classes due to classes expiring and need to find some volunteer experience (I have none).
I'm interested in other's pre-nursing experiences and the schools they plan to apply to. Feel free to share about yourself during this stressful yet exciting time!

Gathering many example questions and answering them tailored to my experience, strength, weaknesses.. Knowing more info about Seattle U nursing program, mission and vision. My interview is this coming Wednesday. Crossing my fingers!. Good luck and God bless! I hope you get in!

Do you have any tips for the interview?
Just be yourself! They are so nice! I know it's easier said than done but I promise, you wouldn't feel any pressure. They asked me 3 things about myself that I want them to know. What is my strength. Why nursing and what do you think the challenges of nurses. If you are to characterized by your family or friends, what would they tell about you?
Review some scenario questions like behavioral and situational. I was asked about a time I made a mistake and how did I overcome it. Then I was asked a time when I changed my mind to a long held belief. Make sure you prepare at least 2 questions for them.
Goodluck! FYI, there were estimated 800 to 1k applicants.
I regret that I didn't apply to more schools this year. At the end of the interview, one of the interviewers told me they want to make sure that SU is the right school for the applicants so they can succeed. I didn't think I did too well at the interview and maybe she was hinting that SU isn't for me. The wait is killing me and my thoughts are veering to the negative...
Hoping to hear some good news from you all soon. Mid-March isn't that far away.

Hi everyone! I am also a transfer BSN applicant for Fall 2022! I have a 4.0 prereqs GPA however not sure about my cumulative GPA. I have a mix of grades from my Bachelor's in a non-nursing degree (3.1 GPA), multiple non-nursing community college classes (4.0 GPA) (thought I would change my career into something else before nursing!), and my nursing prereqs (4.0 GPA). Whew!
It's been a wild ride especially with retaking expired classes, balancing full-time work with school, and the current world situation. I have admin/operations experience working in healthcare settings as a manager but not as a healthcare provider. However, I do have my CNA license.
Lastly, I also got my interview email on Jan 28! I was not expecting it but now it's only a few days away from my interview. I am a little nervous but I believe we can all do it! Good luck everyone! ❤️
