Seattle University APNI 2015

Published

Well, I know it's early.

Anyone applying for 2015 start?!?

@snailszy, I was the one that relayed the message of invites going out from until today. I'm 99.9999999999% certain that he was referring to invites going out until today for interviews this coming Saturday. From what I've seen from other posts, there is absolutely no reason at all to give up hope. I have read that their are current students in the cohort that received their interview as late as May (program starts in June) and still received admission into the program.

I too have been asking questions about rejection and how we would find out about it. From a prior thread last year, it sounds as if we will either be notified directly via e-mail, or receive notice via snail mail. Others also posted that the status change on apptracker will change to "decision has been mailed" or something of the sort. We will receive a formal notice to let us know if we we didn't get in, it just may be awhile. I also noticed from going through last year's thread that there were quite a few people who received admission, but decided to go to other schools. I must have read at least 10 posts from people saying "good luck, a spot has opened up because I got accepted to__________________. When that happens, I'm assuming admission will go down the list and interview the next qualifying applicant.

Don't give up

According to the facebook group page, many people have not received their invites yet for an interview. It appears only a few people got invites for FNP and Psych programs but not the others. I think it's too early to determine at this time.

I had my interview today for psych. I thought it went well. They said I should be hearing after the 23rd.

Someone posted on here that they structure the interview dates by application ranking, and that people interviewed in the first round usually hear the decision within a week. Does anybody else know if this is true....this seems to conflict with what I heard today about admission decisions after the 23rd...maybe I'm being too critical haha. Thanks!

Also, can someone send me a link to the facebook group? Thanks

Thanks May25! I totally understand how nerve wrecking it is with this waiting game. But from what past Seattle U applicants have said in the past, don't give up! It seems to premature to assume you are not being considered but I also 100% understand the freak out because it is the 'unknown' that is so stressful. I think this is just the beginning so have faith.

On a separate note, I interviewed today and the interviewers seemed really sweet (despite my nervous voice and babbling on....). So just be comforted when your invitation comes soon that you all will do great, just be yourself. Wish I had been told that it was not so bad ahead of time. I was imagining 7 people grilling me around a conference table haha, nope was just the opposite. Keep your heads up!

@seattleite188, the link is on page 23 at the bottom of the page! I don't want to link it again in case I link it wrong haha.

And that's like two more weeks to hear still! Maybe they're not going to release decisions until after the aforementioned second batch of interviews being on February 21st?

So no one here who applied for CNM has heard back yet? Because that would make me feel so much better haha.

@medea I applied for CNM and haven't heard anything! From what I have found on here and the Facebook page, it seems like no one has yet. Don't worry!

I interviewed this past Saturday (February 7), I was told at the end of my interview that they were still "reading and scoring applications and sending out invites for interviews on February 28 ... and could expect to hear something the first or second week of March."

@seattleite188 Wow, Congratulations! Must be a relief to get the interview process over and done with. Could you please let me know what type of questions they asked and how long the interview lasted? I'm preparing for mine and I am SO nervous! It would such a big help if you could let me know!

Best of luck and thank you :)
