I'm interested in applying to the APNI program at SU. I've been reading a lot of the forums from other years, and have found it's quite competitive! I would love to hear from other people, and their track. Or if someone is in the program and has any advice about what they like in an applicant. Thank you!
I emailed them today because the timeline email said that those selected for interview would be notified at the end of the month, which is today. They said that nursing faculty shoud be sending out emails "soon", and those NOT selected for interview will be notified by the grad dept. So, if you haven't heard anything, like me, it's probably a good thing.
Oh THAT's a relief!!!
hey guys!
i don't want to throw a wrench into this feeling of zen we've created with the calls & emails the last couple of days but i just wanted to let y'all know that last year i wasn't invited to interview at all but got a wait list letter in march nonetheless.
i think we all need to close our eyes and take some breaths and remember that we've all worked really hard to get here & what happens now is kinda out of our control. i wish you all luck! and i'm sorry if this stresses anyone out, i just didn't want someone to not hear back for an interview and assume all is lost.

I think my last comment was on Page 2 or so! Sorry about that... work has been quite busy! According to my trusty "Timehop" app, my interview last year for the PMHNP program was on January 28th. I emailed the general grad admissions email about denials and they said if not invited for an interview, a rejection email will be sent. So, either way, we will know soon. The wait is brutal, indeed, but it will be over soon! As they mentioned, decisions will be made and communicated between mid-Feb and early March. Good luck!
