Seattle U APNI 2014

Published

Is anyone applying to Seattle University's APNI program for summer 2014 start? I know there are a few very useful threads from past years. I'm gearing up and getting a bit anxious!

So I'm guessing if I didn't get an interview for fnp on January 31 I'm prolly rejected...[/quote']

In previous years' threads, it seems pretty clear that invitations and even final decision letters went out in waves. I wouldn't stress just yet.

Serendiba, what is your current specialty? I'm applying for CNM and would like to know more about the clinical experiences. As I understand it, the interview time passes quickly, so I'm not sure I'll have the time I'd like to ask questions of them.

My interview is scheduled for this Saturday for PMHNP specialty. Woohoo!

I'm Saturday for CNM!

I'm also Saturday for CNM!!!

I'm Saturday for FNP! I was just notified today, and I'm coming from out of state so it's a bit of a scramble to get flights, hotel, etc. booked by Friday-yikes! But it's so exciting:) How are you guys going to dress? In suits?

I'm doing a phone interview so I'm dressing in pajamas! hehe :)

Did they just email you today and set up an interview for this Saturday or were you guys able to pick the date?

No I didn't pick mine. They gave me the date & time & I said I'd be there. Lol

Yeah, same here-the date was just assigned to me! Mzaur-you're not scared to do the phone interview?? I'm tempted to do that as well to save money, but I'm terrified it will hurt my chances! I'm probably just being totally paranoid...and I'm super jealous you get to stay in your pj's!

No, what's to be scared about? I live in NJ so I'm not flying across the country to do this. I think that if you're good at communicating, it shouldn't matter whether you interview in-person or over the phone. My interviews for Vanderbilt and Boston College were over the phone. They didn't do in-person interviews for anyone. If I had the choice, I'd still do phone interview to be honest. I guess I just have faith that the professors interviewing focus on the content instead of "oh he showed up in person, that must mean he wants it more!" They definitely know that not everyone can make it in person, especially when they only tell us 3 days in advance.

Well since I got into BC, I cancelled my interview for psych. So another spot opened up. Good luck guys and gals :)
