Seattle U APNI 2014

Published

Is anyone applying to Seattle University's APNI program for summer 2014 start? I know there are a few very useful threads from past years. I'm gearing up and getting a bit anxious!

Oh nice! I didn't realize that. Seems like in previous years, it went in waves according to specialty.

I remember them going by specialty too in the previous years!! Great news guys! We should all be giving ourselves a pat on the back :)

I was told last week that CNM is putting us on a faster track because a lot of the faculty for that specialty will be out of the country in the later part of February. I don't know if that means we'll find out sooner or not, but they will be making their decisions as early as possible.

Oh interesting!! Where'd you hear that from?

Hey all,

I've been lurking this thread for a while and saw that some people have been invited for interviews. Just out of curiosity, what does the page say when you check the status of your application? I haven't gotten an interview invite and my status still says my application is "ready for review by my intended program" and I'm wondering if I'll be getting an email telling me yay or nay on an invite.

Hello everyone!

Does anyone know if in prior years they did interviews on Saturdays? Do you think doing a phone interview puts you at a disadvantage? I am from out of state, so I'm just trying to figure out how to make the interview work! Congratulations to everyone else who received an invite to interview as well! So exciting:)

My interview was on a Saturday! (I'm in the 2012 cohort, graduating this August) So don't stress, and I think some people did phone interviews and they got accepted....for me, my strength was more interview/cv/refs them say,, my GPA, so I wanted it in person. I was in Seattle so it was no big deal, but if you're across the country, I think phone would be fine, depending on how comfortable you feel on the phone. I hate talking on the phone to be honest... so I was happy to meet in real life on sat at 11:00 am, almost 2 years ago now. Crazy. :) PS: i haven't heard anything... but I'm crossing my fingers we (post-master's cert. ppl) are on a different timeline... I hope, because I didn't get that first email or anything since then. Still have processing. I'm not freaking out. I'll have my MSN, assuming I pass all my classes now! ;) I just found my passion for psych after I entered the program, along with some intense family issues that sort of set off a lightbulb about my future goals, so I really want to be a Psych NP. Fingers crossed but still have too much homework to stress about it now.

So I'm guessing if I didn't get an interview for fnp on January 31, I'm prolly rejected...

In other years, i think they sent out multiple invites... and about 1/2 our cohort is from the waitlist. So it's really too early to say I think. (I hope.)

But I haven't gotten an email either, Cookies. Not sure though if post-masters are on APNI timeline, but I worried we are...
