Anyone already applying at Seattle U? Which track? I haven't finished my pre-req's, so I am probably not too competitive this year, but I am going to apply anyway. I am applying for the nurse-midwife track and my background is Microbiology (UW).
Well at least the other person whose status changed was also from the same specialty, right? And if I may reflect for a sec: you're from Brazil, did some really cool outreach project, degree in micro from UW, finishing all the prereqs now, speak Portugese and probably Spanish.. your story is pretty amazing.
Oh Lenin, thank you. I'm trying so hard to believe those things were enough. But just because I worked so hard to accomplish those things certainly doesn't mean to me that I'm entitled to anything, but I'm trying to be positive. You should have seen how pale I was when I left that interview! Lol hoping for the best and preparing for the worst, right? Thank you for making me happier!
Does anyone know where to find the academic schedule specific to the 2012-2013 APNI program? There is a 4 week, an 8 week, and an Intersession listed for Summer 2012 in the general academic school calender.
Flaneur mentions a month between summer and fall quarters, so this suggests that classes don't occur during the Intersession.
Is this the same schedule for first and second year students, or is it specific to second year students upon completion of the NCLEX-RN exam?
My partner's employer has long lead times for requesting time off work. If there are breaks in the schedule that permit some shared time together it will help balance the school/life equation.
Yeah, for summer it is an 8-week calendar with a month long break, no intersession classes for APNIs! Fall, Winter, and Spring follow the standard university calendar.
I just called graduate admissions and they said not all decisions are being mailed out, they are mailing as the programs make decisions so it doesn't even necessarily mean by specialty....some of us might be waiting a while.....
I know that each track may be sending admission decisions on different schedules, and according to our cohort's experience.....nothing at this point is a definitive sign. The only way to know for sure is when you get a letter soon, one way or another...don't stress yourself too much by trying to read into it :-)
