Seattle U - APNI 2012

Published

Anyone already applying at Seattle U? Which track? I haven't finished my pre-req's, so I am probably not too competitive this year, but I am going to apply anyway. I am applying for the nurse-midwife track and my background is Microbiology (UW).

I'll try and remember to ask during my interview about when we can expect decisions and how.

Christy are you interviewing this weekend for FNP?

Just finished my interview, like most I feel like I didn't mention some things that I really wanted to.

Don't feel bad guys. I think we are all overly critical of ourselves under stress and I'm sure it feels worse than it really is!

Sigh I'm really scared though. If I mess up the one chance I have I know I'll hate myself for it .

and I thought the interview would be the easy part.. why did I let my nerves take over like that?

Hang in there, everybody. :redbeathe We will hear soon.

Calinca, where do u think you went wrong?

NursePrac, sounds like the half hour slot just flies by! Bet the interviewers are more interested in HOW we present ourselves than the amount of anecdotes and facts that we tell them:-) I imagine you did really well! Congrats on completing the last stage of the process.

NursePrac, I wish I could pinpoint exactly what went wrong, but I can't remember my answers very well :-/ I think I could have said more about my qualities as a future clinician. I wanted to show them how good I am in dealing with stress and I don't think I did a good job at that at all. I wanted to show them what I really am and what would make me a great candidate and I think I bombed that too.. jeez!

Right, Justine, I wish it was at least 1 hour.

Did the ladies leave you with any closing words?

One professor (I'm going to omit the name) gave me her card and said that I could email her if I needed to ask anything, she said that it could take up to two weeks to hear back and she talked a little bit about the program but I can't remember what she said LOL

What about you?
