Anyone already applying at Seattle U? Which track? I haven't finished my pre-req's, so I am probably not too competitive this year, but I am going to apply anyway. I am applying for the nurse-midwife track and my background is Microbiology (UW).

Hi everyone! Didn't expect to sign on here and see people received invites this weekend! Fantastic news for all who did. I too am FNP track, so I feel relieved that so far nobody has mentioned any interviews for FNP. However since heavily researching plan B options I am feeling a bit more at ease. I know that last year and the year before people posted the questions they got, but I would expect them to be pretty standard...it does help to think things through, in particular stories for the really standard questions such as "tell me about a time where you had to work with someone difficult, and how you handled that situation." You should have lots of little ideas and answers prepared, but do not be overly prepared or sound reheorificed. They will also likely ask some questions about your current job, maybe ask if you have ever actually shadowed an NP, etc.

Thanks for the tips, ladies (:

I received an invitation to interview as well..... AGNP! Congrats to everyone and my fingers are crossed for all of the FNP hopefuls.

To those of you that recieved interviews by email what does your application status say? Did you guys get an email that was sent on the 18 of Jan saying Good afternoon! Thank you for your interest in graduate study at Seattle University and for your application for our Nursing program. Nursing faculty are currently reading applications and will be deciding in early February who will be invited to interview. Applicants invited to interview will initially be notified by e-mail and then by phone as needed. For your planning, please note interviews are scheduled to take place between February 20-March 2. Admission decisions will be sent out the second week of March.

Best wishes in the weeks and months ahead!

Was this sent out to everyone?

Thanks

Yes, I received this email a few weeks ago and yesterday I received a second email with my invitation for the interview. BUT my status has not changed at all. What's your track? None of the FNP here have received this invitation yet. I am midwifery.

Thank you for replying back I appreciate it. My track is the psychiatric track. I have a BA in psychology and I am currently in a Masters program for Counseling Psychology. This is my second time applying to SU. My status has not changed as well and I was curios about the status because last year I remember that the prompt told me my decision has been mailed and I remeber thinking that was a denial which I ended up getting in the mail. From looking at last year posts this seems to be the case. People who were invited there status never changed but people who got a letter in the mail were denied. Letters in the mail are never a good thing emails are great! Im hoping that this time around I get in.

I received an invitation to interview for the psych track over the weekend. I haven't received my second invitation that will specify the date of the interview.

did all your invitations come at 3:30 pacific time?

Candyjunky, I did receive the same email back in Jan, however my online status has remained the same as it's been the last couple months. And like everyone else, my email with the invitation to interview came this last Sat at 4:11 for me. I'm also in the psychiatric track! I'm so glad I stumbled upon this site :)

I am really curious to know if the FNP invites went out with the other tracks or not. I find it odd that there are representatives from all 3 other tracks who have interviews on this thread but no FNPs! Still hanging on to some hope but it's dwindling....
