Seattle U APNI Fall 2023

Hi everyone! I am cece 

I didn’t see a thread for Seattle U APNI program so I decided to make one! I wanted to talk to all of the future student.

I have a question. For the people that interviewed this week were you also given the deadline that they would let us know about the admission status by February 20???

I am so nervous I don't want to even email them

The faculty told me second week of March. BUT! I spoke with the current students who were available in a breakout room after the interview. One girl said she kept bothering them with emails that Oz unofficially told her she was accepted 10 days after her interview ?. Another girl waited patiently and said she was notified first week of April. 

I don't want to "bother" them, but at the same time, no harm is asking right? I will try what the first girl did.

That's funny because they told me interviews will end yesterday and they want to send out acceptance emails and waitlist emails by Feb 20 but latest March 1st. 
 

The students you talked to. Are they from last year that are in the program already.

Yes, I talked to 3 first year APNI students and one in her 2nd year of the RN-DNP. The girl who got her acceptance in April wasn't invited to the first round of interviews, she didn't elaborate on when she was interviewed. I interviewed last week, maybe they have since narrowed down their timeline, but my interviewers told me second week of March.

So your timeline from your interviewers must be accurate because I was the first person to have the interview in January. So maybe that's what they wanted to do but now it's just a lot for them maybe.

Fingers crossed that we don't have to wait too long though!

Had my interview today. Definitely felt like I nervously rambled for my answers. Hoping for the best, but expecting the worst. Good luck everyone!

Same. I was told the admissions committee is going to try to get back to us by 2/20 so maybe we don't have long to wait. Good luck to us all.

The wait is definitely nerve-wrecking! I was wondering if anyone applied for the PMHNP track. Thanks!

I applied to APNI PMHNP! 

 

From my understanding of the previous year's discussions, each track has a slightly different timeline. But generally they spend February in a committee deciding and then admissions offers and waitlists are sent out over the course of the first two weeks of March

Thanks for the info! I remember asking Oz during the interview when we could receive decisions and she said February 20 which would be next Monday. I guess we'll just have to wait and see.
