No worries- sounds like you are trying to answer a different question than I wanted to ask. That's okay! Here's a bit of clarification:

Yes, all APNI applicants go right through to the doctoral (graduate) portion of the program.

However, in addition to us APNI folx, there are also people applying for the graduate-only portion; they already have their RN degree or already have an MSN. These are three different entry points (start as APNI, start as RN, or start as MSN) into the same tracks.

So. Here, I am asking about people applying for entry for APNI to DNP, instead of [already-have-RN]-to-DNP. Anyone out there? How's it going for you?

Gotcha. Yes, a lot of the APNI applicants have gotten interview invites and I believe they begin very soon. Mine is in a couple of weeks for the PMHNP track. From what I can tell, it is still really early in the process though.

I think most people here are APNI applicants, I did say PMHNP in mind bc that is the track I applied for, but I am applying for the APNI PMHNP program

@HebejeebieYou were caring enough to ask about everyone else, how are you doing?

Yes I got into both.

Hi @Ayomide Tabiti

I will be applying to UVM this year for Fall 2024 entry. Does UVM have interviews for their program?

@Ayomide Tabiti Great, that's what I thought but I wanted to ask to be sure. Congratulations on your acceptances to dnp programs

For those who had interviewed, I would to hear your thoughts about it. how was the interview for you?

Hi all - I just discovered this forum and am excited there's a place to connect.  I applied for the Summer/Fall 2023 SU APNI-DNP program, FNP track and received an invitation to interview around Jan. 20.  Interview is Feb 11.  Excited & a tiny bit nervous at the moment (sure to be a lot more nervous in about a week)!  ~Paula

I just got done with mine, RN-FNP. The two faculty that interviewed me were lovely, it really felt like a conversation instead of an interview. I got the email everyone else did, know the values, vision and mission of SU and how you can/do apply it you your career. Know the difference between NPs v RN v MD.
I say it felt like a conversation, because I feel every time they didn't think my answer was adequate, they would ask me to give an example. So please have examples ready LOL. I answered my questions too fast because I was nervous, they finished their questions 10 minutes early. I think they are required to do the full 25 minutes, because they went over my resume and asked questions about it for the last 10 minutes. So take your time!

Hi, I just had my interview today. I'm applying for the APNI-DNP (PMHNP Specialty). They stated that they would ask four questions and allowed me to ask them questions at the end. I felt my interview went okay, but I was definitely a bit nervous too.
