Hi everyone! I am cece
I didn’t see a thread for Seattle U APNI program so I decided to make one! I wanted to talk to all of the future student.

I also got waitlisted last year for the same track only I did not interview. I did receive an invitation for this year though. There were a lot of open interview appointments, maybe they are still sending out invites. If you don't mind me asking, what sorts of questions were you asked last year?

Hey don't stress out too much about it! I also applied for the same track as you. I believe they might still be in the midst of reviewing applications and sending interview invites out.

LOL I got the invite 20mins after posting this! I did notice there were considerably less choices for interview times for me this year than last year. I wonder if it's bc I submitted my application much later this time around.

Congratulations! I'm sure things will be more smoother this time round since you already know the process!
Anyone here apply for the APNI-to-NP (all four years) route, rather than just the DNP portion? If yes (all four years), did you get an interview offer yet? It seems like most interviews so far are for DNP-only applicants, but maybe that's just how this forum has skewed so far. ?♀️
Edited to add: I know how the routing/pathway to a DNP degree works for SU- that's clear to me. Zero questions about that.
I am asking "Hi are you also applying for entry at APNI? Because there appear to be plenty of people applying for a later entry point (they don't need the APNI year) and I understand how that works too but that's not me, so here we are.
If you too are hoping to join at APNI , have you had an invite to interview yet?
If this is still unclear to you, please skip this post. No worries!

EDIT: I think I understand what you mean now. You are asking if the APNI folks have interviews yet rather than the BSN (RN)-DNP. Yes I think many of us have received our interview invitations. I have an interview for the APNI program in February. Sorry about the confusion, that is my bad.

Hi there. I applied to the APNI-DNP for PMHNP and was invited to interview on 1/19. My program requires 4 years due to the fact that I'm someone with a bachelors degree in a non-nursing field. Hope that makes sense!
Sunscreenqueen said:I am somewhat confused by this question. The APNI route is 4 years and ends with a doctor of nursing practice which is an APRN role. I could be wrong, but I think all APNI applicants receive a DNP as Seattle U does not offer an MSN at this time. They practice as an NP.
I hope that was helpful and doesn't sound rude.
Hi, after looking on the website, it mentions that students receive their BSN after completion of the first year. This allows you to sit for the NCLEX and then move onto the doctorate portion!

No worries- sounds like you are trying to answer a different question than I wanted to ask. That's okay! Here's a bit of clarification:
Yes, all APNI applicants go right through to the doctoral (graduate) portion of the program.
However, in addition to us APNI folx, there are also people applying for the graduate-only portion; they already have their RN degree or already have an MSN. These are three different entry points (start as APNI, start as RN, or start as MSN) into the same tracks.
So. Here, I am asking about people applying for entry for APNI to DNP, instead of [already-have-RN]-to-DNP. Anyone out there? How's it going for you?

Yes that is my understanding of the APNI program. I don't have a nursing degree so I applied to the APNI program. I think some people are confused because a lot of RN-DNP folks have chosen to use this thread.

It's said the file reviews happen from December to February that's what the email ----------------------- sent to me. I haven't received an email as well for anything. However, I am waiting until next month to actually see if I get an interview or not.
