Seattle U APNI - 2010 Entry

Published

I was just wondering if anyone out there applied for Seattle U's APNI program. I thought I'd start a thread because it doesn't look like there is one, yet.

I think we're supposed to hear about interviews sometime soon. Has anyone gotten word, yet?

Congrats kidmoe and rainer!! :)

I live in a small town in Indiana and have been awaiting word. Still nothing yet? Anyone in the general midwest receive any word from SU yet? You all seem great and I'm glad to be a part of this forum, and hopefully SU nursing this year.

cheers

Hehe. I was specifically responding to MPH girl for her comments to me...but you are also sweet Rainer. I agree. I have gotten nothing but great energy from anyone I've met associated with Seattle. I hope we get to be classmates also. :)

MPH. Thank you. and congrats.

I'm so excited for everyone who's been accepted. It is a wonderful place. I am anxiously awaiting a response from SU......anxiously. :)

I hope we all get to be classmates as well! :)

Now that you mention it, I do not think anyone else from GNP track has posted. It makes me feel good though to know that someone else is stalking the mailbox with me.:) Congrats goes to all those that have been accepted!

Hi Rainier 1221,

I also got accepted to the Psych NP programs at SU and at OHSU (Accelerated BSN to MSN). I am feeling very torn between the two schools. I got a really great vibe from the faculty at OHSU - not so much at Seattle U. Are you leaning towards one school more than the other? Why?

Congratulations to you!

PS.

For those of you that are and get accepted, my friend, who is in the PsychNP program right now, says that they give you very little time to get all these things (financial aid, physical, immunization, etc) accomplished. So get on it as soon as possible. I'm getting CPR certified tonight. ;)

My big white envelope with the acceptance did not contain information on these requirements. Where did you learn about these things? Is there a checklist somewhere?

Just did a headcount on our acceptances here so far:

FNP track

MPHgirl

malapata

Psych-NP track

aurora155

kidmoe

Rainer1221

brownie1984

We have a lot of psych people here! So far no one from Geriatric or Midwife.

Thanks for doing that aurora...it's nice to see it all in one place...eases the mind a bit.

My friend told me that they don't really prepare you for all these pieces...it's more like last minute notification. So, for example, if you can get your cpr certification done then do it...if you can get your immunization records together..etc. I'd call and ask if you don't hear in a week or so.

Hope that helps...:)

Anyone from the midwest get mail yet? I wonder when they sent out the acceptance letters and when they'll reach us here in the boondocks (Indiana). Stalking the mailbox like everyone else. Cheers

I got my letter yesterday for psyc. What are you guys doing to prepare? Also any recommendations for living in WA??? What are the areas to stay away. etc...
