I was just wondering if anyone out there applied for Seattle U's APNI program. I thought I'd start a thread because it doesn't look like there is one, yet.
I think we're supposed to hear about interviews sometime soon. Has anyone gotten word, yet?
Hey NursePrac,
That is wonderful you are applying! So I am not 100% sure the mammalian class will count unless it had a really strong focus on humans. Does it have a lab? If I were you, I would contact Ann Koepke (http://www.seattleu.edu/nursing/inner.aspx?id=15600), she is in charge of the pre-licensure RN year and would probably be best at evaluating your class. Good luck to you!
Qwerty, yes! There are lab components. And they are the only two undergraduate Anatomy and Physiology classes at my university. They course syllabus and descriptions just the the class focuses on the human anatomy and physiology. Even the books required text books are titled, "Principle of Human Physiology" etc.
I've been trying to call and ask for a week now with no luck. I have a syllabus for someone to view to show that the class in fact focuses on the human body, not animals.
Thanks though Klhmc.
Hello, Everyone:
I am going to be applying to SU's APNI program within the next month and I was wondering if anyone who has been accepted has any advice in terms of putting my application together:
i.e. How many pre-reqs did you have completed by time of application and what grades?
-Did you clep out of any classes and if so, what were your grades?
-Do you submit any writing samples?
Please let me know, I know the program is extremely competitive and I want to impress them as much as possible!
Thanks
Anyone still lurking around this board?? I'm starting the APNI program this June but also trying to plan a wedding! For those who are now in their last year, would you say that your first summer quarter (2010) or your second summer quarter (2011) was more intense? And when did you take the NCLEX?? Thanks!!

HI! I'm applying to the APNI program soon and I'm wondering if Mammalian Anatomy and Physiology classes are accepted as an A&P pre-req. They said online admissions does not evaluate a classes acceptability until after applying. Do you have any idea?
Thanks
