Seattle U APNI - 2010 Entry

Published

I was just wondering if anyone out there applied for Seattle U's APNI program. I thought I'd start a thread because it doesn't look like there is one, yet.

I think we're supposed to hear about interviews sometime soon. Has anyone gotten word, yet?

Still nothing over here, either in my mailbox or email...Good thing, Bad thing? Who knows? I am waiting with hope for something awesome to happen!:)

I just came home to an empty mailbox, yet again! Weird.

seattle2010 - I just scrolled back and found that you're GNP and since I'm FNP, we must be on different waitlists. It's hard to say whether "at the top" means actually number one or if I'm just in like the top 5. Who knows? Certainly not me since I still don't have a letter!!

I had a similarly weird email experience with Hopkins. I hadn't heard anything about my status and then I got an email from their financial aid department that was addressed "Dear Student" and I was like... huh? I didn't get an actual acceptance notice until a couple days later.

I was also accepted and got the email about the reception for new students. I have pretty much decided to go to another school though, so there will be another slot opening in the FNP track.

I wish you all the best of luck!!

Maybe we fallbacks have a chance then. Who knows. Where are you going and why? (You can PM if you want not to thrash one place over another.) Thanks

I assume that everyone else has finished their prereqs?
Not me, unfortunately. I still have math and anatomy. :crying2: I'll take anatomy in spring, and I'm going to try to get credit for math by taking a test. I wish I were done already!

I got an email today inviting me to the new student reception (and I have been accepted), and I am planning to attend the event. I want to see their clinical training lab--I've heard it's really nice. The email was in my spam box, so watch for it there.

Hello,

I was just wondering, for the people who have been accepted and have received either an email or an envelope, what track are accepted for? Thanks:)

Still nothing for me in the mail/email....

Take care

Well, nothing at all here. I have officially decided that I am going to Samuel Merritt. For those of you that are going to Seattle and still aspire to go, it is a beautiful campus and lab. It will be a great option if you take it. Thank you for all the support and info along the way. I look forward to our paths potentially crossing in our professional futures. Good luck to all!

I'm losing massive amounts of sleep over this waiting! Called them the other day, and they said they were still reviewing my application! Going to call them next morning.

I'm sorry. I totally understand. I wish they didn't handle things so last minute. Good luck to you. Just try to put it out of your mind. Assume that you won't hear anything until after April 15th. It might give you some calm till then.

I'm going to go to the University of Rochester. I think that Seattle U has a great program, I definitely love their mission, I just feel like the program is too short for me (the FNP track is two years). I'm starting to realize that I really do want to get some experience as an RN before I go on to my masters and I'll be able to do that if I go to U of R. I really wanted to stay on the west coast...this has been a very difficult decision for me. I know those of you who attend SU are going to LOVE it! Seattle is an awesome city. :redpinkhe

Good luck in Rochester, malapata. I hope to see you around on these boards and hear of your experiences of U of R.

And good luck to you JSBH at Samuel Merritt. I used to live on the other side of the hills from SM, and it is a lovely area (but can get hot!). I knew someone who did the career counselor program there, and really loved the school.

And good luck to you to Rainer1221, at OHSU. If I lived in Oregon, I definitely would have applied there.

qwerty, I am Psych track. You are midwife, aren't you? I don't think we have heard from anyone who was accepted (or not accepted) from that track, have we?
