Seattle U APNI - 2010 Entry

Published

I was just wondering if anyone out there applied for Seattle U's APNI program. I thought I'd start a thread because it doesn't look like there is one, yet.

I think we're supposed to hear about interviews sometime soon. Has anyone gotten word, yet?

Hi Jen810,

I've received the following: a letter saying thanks for your application (dated Dec 18th), an email asking me to call for an interview slot (early Feb) and am still waiting for the final results letter. If you read the thread you'll see that many of us have interviewed, and some have received acceptances from specific tracks, and others waitlisted (and some like me, not received a final letter yet). By everyone's calculations all letters should be in post boxes today or tomorrow (although, I live in the same zipcode!). I applied for FNP but am also interested in CNM, so we'll see what happens with that. I don't think that anyone has posted that they have been accepted to the CNM track yet.

Good luck,

Laura

Hi guys, I didn't receive anything from SU today either. I guess the information was not so accurate. Hopefully we'll hear soon.

i'm in seattle and received my wait list letter last week. i called and they did tell me my placement on the wait list. sounds like some years they go pretty deep into the wait list and other years, none. so keeping my fingers crossed that some folks choose another place! ah the waiting game continues...

Hi there. Who was it that you spoke to that gave you the waitlist info? I'm echoing the same questions, but did they give you an idea of how many were on the waitlist (I'm waitlisted also)? If you don't mind, could you tell us what number you were? (I understand if you do mind.) Any info is helpful. Thanks!

They told me they couldn't tell anyone today their waitlist placement. They also mentioned something about having till April 15th for final acceptance decisions for those accepted. Hard to keep track of everyone's things here. I know I'm waitlisted but I still have not gotten any letters via the mail....ever that I know of.

Ugh. I still have to finish my AnP2 and Micro and they start April 3rd. It's going to be hard for me to start those without knowing for sure that I'm in. I assume that everyone else has finished their prereqs?

I finished all my prereqs...with a 4.0...and I'm waitlisted. I can't believe that they're not giving any information. That's just unfair. People need to make decisions about what direction to go in their lives. I assume that the letters that will eventually go out probably won't have that information on them. Wow, I sound like such a pessimist. I'm going to start planning for going to Samuel Merritt. If we may not be notified until after April 15th, I don't think I can move my whole life from California to Washington in such short notice...we'll see. How is everyone else doing?

i imagine i called before a lot of other people started calling so maybe they were friendly to me :) i felt bad about calling, but a friend of mine in the program told me to go ahead because she did when she hadn't heard anything by the date given. they told me my odds were really good, but they couldn't promise anything. like i said before, sounds like some years they go through all of the waitlist (this i heard from my friend in the program), or none at all. if people have received actual rejection letters, and from what my friend said, i doubt the waitlist is huge. i know that all of these things continue to shift through the spring, as other people make their decisions, so if you are waitlisted i would have hope :) i know people who have gotten in to their top schools very last minute!

Yes, it is very hard to make plans with that kind of waiting but we'll see. They told me they do in fact go very deep some years, accepting lots from the wait list. SM is a very good school too, but I was out of the country and therefore couldn't take the TEAS test to apply, though I really wanted to. I tried and tried (telling them I even taught the things that the TEAS tests for at the college level but they wanted that test, so oh well.) At any rate, yes, it's a waiting game and to know some numbers would be nice.

Hey everyone,

Well...this is exciting. I have been away for a couple of days and reading all these posts and knowing that the decisions are coming out this week...I am a tad nervous. Guess I will be stalking the mailman today and tomorrow. Thanks for the info though:) Good luck everyone!

Take care

Has anybody heard anything yet? I'm hoping today is the day that the rest of us find out what our status is with Seattle University. To those of you that have found out your status, is it reflected on the Seattle University Application Status Lookup thing on their website. Mines has been the same since I got the first letter from them. Good luck everyone! I hope a big white envelope is in my mailbox when I get home tonight!

Hi everyone -

I still haven't gotten anything in the mail but, I did just get an email from them. They forwarded me an invitation to the accepted students day on 3/17 with a note that says "Because you're at the top of the waitlist, we'd like extend this invitation to you..."

So, I guess that means I'm waitlisted.

A.

Did anyone else get an email?
