The LVN-to-RN programs in the D/FW area all have waiting lists or lottery-style admissions with the exception of Dallas Nursing Institute and West Coast University, which are both expensive private-for-profit schools.

go to Board of Nursing www.bon.state.tx.us and click nursing education link and there is a list of all approved programs by type of program with links and info on in class versus online etc.
I appreciate your comment and I am aware of the board website ..but what im trying to find out more specifically is if the approved programs in DFW have a waiting list or not. And generally experiences of Nurses trying to get into either of these programs. Information that is not usually displayed on the school website.

As far as I know there are wait lists everywhere. the programs I am aware of in the dfw area are all saturated with lvns. I am currently waiting to find out if I've been accepted to Uta's accelerated bsn program. I did excelsior but failed the stupid clnicals twice.

Dallas Nursing Institute has a bridge program but you have to apply with their specified pre-reqs to bridge that has to be taken at a community college. Community Colleges bridge but have a waiting list and you have to have at least 6 months of employment signed by someone in your HR department.
I got my Lvn at dni. their adn sounds like a big hassle for too much money.
I was thinking the same thing about DNI's ADN program, they make you do more than universities & community colleges to get admitted.
