SDSU FALL 2021 BSN

Published

Hey guys! I am creating this for Fall 2021 SDSU nursing applicants. We can make this a place where we can share our stats and answer any questions! My stats are:

Cumulative GPA: 4.0

Pre-reqs GPA: 4.0

TEAS: 82

I have work experience

I have 67 points, I'm kinda nervous, my TEAS isn't that good ?

Thank you Angel. I applied with 70 points.

Prereqs GPA: 3.96

Cumulative GPA: 3.95

TEAS: 92%
No work experience

They waitlisted me. Thankfully I was accepted elsewhere so the news doesn't hurt TOO bad.

Congrats to everyone who got in!

Did they email you about the waitlist? How did you find out?

It was on the student portal when I checked admission status. In the denial letter it gives me the option of indicating waitlist, and at the bottom of the page there's a drop down "yes" or "no"

Huh I don't even have the denial letter. I checked the message center too and nothing. Probably just rejected ?

I guess it wasn't a letter really it was just the small paragraph at the top of the page. My status changed from "pending" to "denied admission" and right under that was the drop down. Don't lose hope! Apply everywhere!

Just found out I got waitlisted too ? the disappointment never ends for me LOL.   Does anyone know where to find their waitlist number?

Got waitlisted too. Got bored/sad and did calculations for every term since 2016 (this is for transfers). On AVERAGE SDSU admits 72 students every upcoming fall semester and only 32 students actually enrolled in the program. So basically out of those who were offered acceptances, only 39% actually enrolled. I would however take this with a grain of salt though because SDSU has a 2% waitlist to acceptance rate.

https://asir.sdsu.edu/admission-data/applications-by-major/ (I used this for accurate stats)

I wonder at what point they release the stats of the admitted students for this application cycle....

Just wanted to let everyone know that SDSU released official emails for acceptance into the school of nursing! Hope this eases some of the confusion and anxiety (-:

@Chanel Tsan when did you receive that email? I got in but I haven't received that email yet ?

I got mine at 9:39 am today. It also says that the official letter is available through your portal so maybe check there too!
