SDSU BSN Fall 2019

Published

Hi all! I applied to transfer to SDSU's BSN program to start in 2019. I thought I could start a thread where we all could share our stats and experiences. Here are my stats:

Prereq GPA: 4.0

Overall GPA: 4.0

TEAS: 89.3%

This puts me at 68 points as I have no work experience. Good luck to everyone!!!

Hi everyone! I was also accepted to the SON and will be attending Explore SDSU day. How many of you are planning on attending? I’d love the opportunity to meet you all face to face!

Also, are any of you considering living in the dorms for the first year?

Congrats! I also plan to attend Explore SDSU this Saturday! I'll be checking out a lot of the nursing-related events, so I hope to run into you (and everyone else) this weekend!

I don't plan to live in the dorms, but if you do decide to dorm, then I recommend that you choose Cuicacalli. Cuicacalli has a section specifically for nursing majors, so it would be a great opportunity for you to meet new people, study for exams, etc!

There is a Nursing Transfer info session at 11 that I’m going to!

Same here! Can't wait to (hopefully) meet you and everyone else in person!

Does anyone know if AP scores show up as received in our web portals? I sent mine at the beginning of the month and I don’t know how to check if SDSU has them.

I sent mine too! And they just disappeared from my portal, so I am assuming that means they received?

The same thing happened to me! I think SDSU has received them, however (because I saw that I got credit for the SDSU class equivalents of my passed AP tests when I checked the "unofficial transcript" section of the "Admitted" tab in the Web Portal).

FYI for those of you who don't see an "admitted" tab (it still shows up as "applicant"), I believe it's because you still have to pay your intent to enroll. Once you pay the $400, then more options will show up.

Hope this helps!

Off topic- but where do you plan on living? I have been looking everywhere and cant decide!

What’s your budget Emily234?

Also, just ended up calling their admissions office and they checked for me ? I also checked my unofficial transcript and it shows there, along with the classes I get credit for! Thanks for that idea JPVC.

I'm still weighting my options, but if you are non-local, a place definitely worth considering is the Cerca apartments. Cerca is worth considering because the amenities are top notch and it's one of the closest apartment complexes to where nursing classes are held (should not be more than a 5 minute walk from what I've heard).

If you are open to dorming, then a good place to dorm would be Cuicacalli since there's a section all nursing majors live, so it'd be a nice place to make friends, socialize, etc.

Some other apartments in the area that worth considering are the Aztec Corner Apartments, College Campanile Apartments, Aztec Campus Apartments, University Towers, and College View Apartments. Hope this helps!

I went with Cerca, the location is unbeatable in my opinion. I said earlier that it was 1300 a month, but that’s for a single. Their doubles are much cheaper!

Hi all! I got into the SON and was wondering if anyone is looking for apartment-mates? I am looking for a single room, but would love to house with my fellow class mates!
