SDSU BSN Fall 2019

Published

Hi all! I applied to transfer to SDSU's BSN program to start in 2019. I thought I could start a thread where we all could share our stats and experiences. Here are my stats:

Prereq GPA: 4.0

Overall GPA: 4.0

TEAS: 89.3%

This puts me at 68 points as I have no work experience. Good luck to everyone!!!

Thank you! This was really helpful, I also heard they go to a children's hospital, which I would love! I am looking forward to going here! Are you attending the open house on the 23rd?

You're welcome! You're right - SDSU does all of their Pediatric nursing clinical rotations at Rady Children's hospital in Serra Mesa! I'm looking forward to that experience too!

Yes, I'll be attending Explore SDSU on the 23rd! I'm going to check out all the nursing workshops, nursing demonstrations, and the Student Nurses Association (SNA) information fair, so I hope to meet some of you face-to-face in a couple of weeks!

Here's a video giving some more insight about the SDSU SON if any of you are interested!

Thank you for all the help! Also, not sure if anyone needs this info, but just in case, I called the School of Nursing in regards to submitting proof of our TEAS scores. They said to send the TEAS Score Report to the SDSU Nursing email ([email protected]), since there is no option to send an official ATI transcript to SDSU from the ATI TEAS website. From the Individual Performance Profile, I clicked "Download Report", saved it as a pdf and attached it in an email.

Once we've been offered admission we don't really have to do anything besides turning in things on the deadlines right?

Yes. I emailed them my TEAS score already and sent in my transcripts/AP scores, but they aren't actually due until later.

Has anyone started looking into a minor? I was thinking about doing psychology.

Awesome, thank you!

Do you guys have any idea on what your living situation will be? It seems all the apartments close by don't get that great of reviews on yelp, but they seem to look nice. I think I want a private bedroom. Just curious on what you guys are doing!!?

I’m going to be living on Hardy Ave, in a single! It’s $1300 a month but I think proximity and the quality of the apartment is worth it.

What apartment complex if you don't mind me asking? Also, are utilities included?

It’s called Cerca. All utilities are included, even electricity.

Hi everyone! I was also accepted to the SON and will be attending Explore SDSU day. How many of you are planning on attending? I’d love the opportunity to meet you all face to face!

Also, are any of you considering living in the dorms for the first year?
