do you guys get to wear fun scrubs or all white
It depends on where we are doing our clinicals. With Primary Care it was our uniforms which consists of a navy blue polo shirt with our school's logo on it and navy blue dockers, our white lab coat with the school logo, and our id. At the hospital we are to wear the hospital-provided surgical scrubs.
I don't start school until next fall but I already know the answer to this question b/c my sis-in-law attended the same school a few years ago.
We have to wear all white...one is a pant set the other a SKIRT (don't plan to ever wear it)...AND we have to wear those traditional nursing caps....yep, only the students... I'm thinking it's so the "real" nurses can spot us a mile away!!!
Not looking forward to it, but I'll survive it...
Can't wait until I can buy the fun ones like Sponge Bob, Eyore, Tigger, etc. etc. etc....

First semester we had to wear the uniform. This time around we were told we could wear scrubs. In certain areas (L&D, NICU), we wear the hospital scrubs. Only time I wear my lab coat is when my clinical experience is outside the hospital...i.e. one day playing school nurse, one day doing ultrasounds/prenatal testing, etc.
