I am a nursing student and will begin wearing scrubs this fall. I have been trying to research the best scrubs for my body size and type. I have big hips, butt and thighs and have seen a lot about the "Body" line by Cherokee being pretty awesome at fitting my shape well, but I can't seem to find any. Are the "pro-flexibles" by Cherokee the same thing? Or is there another type of scrubs that I should look for. I want comfort and some stretch since normal scrubs won't be very accommodating for my shape. I do have uniform requirements--they must be either drawstring or elastic waist (by the way, which is better for a curvy girl there, also), and I must be able to get them in Navy blue.

So, I used to wear a 5x top and pant. I've only worn the flexible tops by Cherokee and I feel like they're short. Stay away from flared as they fit funny in the leg and tend to be a low rise. When you bend, you will feel a breeze in the most unpleasant places unisex Cherokee pants have always been my go to. They always fit. No matter my size. I've dropped down to a 2x pant and still have trouble fitting pants with my bigger legs. Hope this helps.
I would go for drawstring.

Do you have a scrub store near you? I tried on every type of scrub I could to see what worked for me. And what I thought would work and what actually fit well were two different things lol (This was for work... For school we have no choice, so you're lucky there!) good luck!

I love my Urbane scrub pants. I also have a curvy shape with a big butts, hips, and thighs (so much so that I wear two different sizes on top and bottom) and I find them very comfortable and accommodating in the thigh and butt area especially.
I was thinking that going to an actual store would be a better option for me. I would hate to order some and have them be awful but still be stuck with them. I've been wondering about the Wonderwink line a lot, but I'd still like to see how they fit before spending money on them. for me, right now, $20 or so is kind of a big deal with being in school, and all.

Cherokee workwear stretch. Drawstring and elastic versions. They have 3% spandex in them and look good. You can find them at almost any uniform store online. If you really want a good fit, you will have to send for a few sizes and return (via mail) wh a t doesn't fit. If you need some that are undrr $20, then try walmart.

Another option for cheaper - try and see if there is a second hand uniform store in your area. Might be worth checking out to see if there is a collection of scrubs to try on. They may have many varieties (perhaps in many colors) but it will let you try on (hopefully) many options to get a feel for what works. If something works in a specific style or size then you could probably get it from another store or figure out how to order it (if the second hand store doesn't have it in the color you need).

Uniform Advantage online has scrubs in every size and length. Their own brands are inexpensive and of good quality. Returns and exchanges are easy. They wash up great. Love Butter Soft! Good luck in nursing school.
