Scripps New Grad Residency 2020 October

Hi Everyone!

I wanted to start a thread for those applying to the October Residency 2020. The site says applications will open 6/22. Job posting number is not up yet and am not sure if they will actually open the application as listed because of the pandemic. I would love to hear from those who will be applying and keep the convo going on how the process is going for everyone!

I applied to Tele/DOU for La Jolla and encenitas and I have not received the on demand interview either.

I appreciate all your information! When you say the on demand video was due by this morning...does that mean those who did not receive an invite to complete a video interview possibly were rejected? My status still shows "submission received". I noticed many got the invite immediately after submitting the application, starting to feel as if the status will never update. Any and all recommendations or comments are appreciated!

I appreciate all the information on this page! I am wondering if at this point it is safe to assume if I have not received an on demand video interview that it may be a form of rejection?? I applied 06-22 and my status still shows "submission received". I noticed many got the invite immediately after submitting the application, starting to feel as if the status may never update (being that interviews showed to have started yesterday?). Unsure of how else we could have answered the application questions to give us a better opportunity for obtaining an interview...Any and all recommendations or comments are appreciated!

Hi there! I can’t say for sure what the process is. I can only account for my own experience. There was only a 3 day window for external applications. I received the video interview email on Friday and was told I had 72 hours to complete it. I’m not interring that those who didn’t receive an email invite by now were rejected. From my intel from other hiring managers and former employees, they receive a large volume of applicants and I theorize, are going through the apps in “cohorts”. I’m hoping that this is the case for you and those who haven’t heard back. I’m sure that you will soon and I’m wishing you the best of luck!

I have not. I followed up with the recruiter but yet to hear back.

Just wanted to post an update for you all. I got an email this week saying I am moving forward to the next steps which is the Hiring Manager's review of my application and on-demand video interview!

Same, I have not received any update since then though! I wonder if they will tell us if we don’t get an interview???

I guess that is a possibility if the hiring managers don't select us for an interview? Fingers crossed!

Hi everyone! My status updated to "under review" today and I also got the email for the self-paced video interview to do within 72 hours. My specialty preference was surgical and my first choice is Mercy and second is La Jolla! I'm external and was surprised that I got this email today LOL was starting to give up hope.

I received an invitation to self-identify and seconds after received an email that my application was reviewed by the talent acquisition team and is now being forwarded to the hiring manager for consideration of a virtual-live interview. I completed my on-demand interview the 2nd day the app was open. Anyone else in the same process or have already completed the live interview?

Hello! Thanks for all your helpful comments. Has anyone received an email for the Med Onco Unit for Encinitas or Sripps Green? Please feel free to share your experience and some tips to nail the position. Thanks!
