Scripps New Grad Residency Jan/March 2018

Hey everyone! Just wanted to get a page going to help each other out with the process at Scripps!

I just read on FB that if your interviewing at a location other than La Jolla, then if chosen..you will start on the floor of the manager you impressed the most. I guess you won't know until you get hired from what I'm getting if you put no preference.

Do you know why is this process only for locations other than La Jolla? Also yes please share this link so we can all check it out!! Thanks :)

My interview invite email says that it's with Scripps Mercy in Hillcrest. But doesn't specify what unit.

oh really? I had emailed her back yesterday, but I haven't heard back yet :/

For all of those who got an interview, congrats btw!!! Would you be able to let me know how long is your resume? 1 page? 2 pages? Or more? I really think my resume is not good enough. I applied to the program twice already and I still did not manage to get an interview :/ thank you anything will help

I wonder if they will send denial emails out next week? I didn't receive anything this week :( I applied to tele and my status says under review. I graduated from Columbia University in New York with my Masters. I volunteered in hospitals in San Diego for three years before that. I have my ACLS. I got the personality test right after I applied. Bummer man. Also--my resume is two pages for the comment above. I feel that its strong. I also had two letters of rec from preceptors who worked with me during my internship.

Thank you. I graduated from West coast University with my BSN. I got my BlS, ACLS, RN. I had two letter of recommendation as well. My gpa is 3.45 I had a cover letter and my resume is 2 pages long. Only thing I don't really have are tons of volunteer hours. I only volunteered for 4 months... don't know what other certifications I can get to make my application stronger??

I am sure they had to turn down lots of qualified applicants.

When you applied the other times did you get a denial letter or a status change?

I didn't get a denial letter for the new grad program but I got one when I applied to the IcU residency program... so I don't know if we'll get one this time.

Hi there, I graduated from WCU as well. This is my second time applying and finally got offered an interview. My resume is 2 pages, I attached a cover letter with it as well. I don't have any volunteer hours, but I have been a Corpsman in the Navy for 10 years with experience in the ICU and ED. Best of luck to you!

I haven't been checking as religiously as I should and just noticed my application is being reviewed by the hiring manager as of October 12th! I just completed the first step for the background check but havent received any personal emails about interviewing. Is all their communication through their website? I assumed they would personally contact you for these things. Anyone get invited for interviews after the 13th? And how did they contact you?

You may get an interview email later today if you got an email for the background check. Thats what it sounds like for those of us who got background checks then interview invitations a few hours later. (as long as your background clears i assume lol)
