Scripps New Grad Residency Jan/March 2018

Published

Hey everyone! Just wanted to get a page going to help each other out with the process at Scripps!

still trying to stay hopefully they send out more interview dates tomorrow :( since they said 9-13th

@summerdb yes i did, i was working out of state at another facility.

Hey all! I got an interview invite as well! Been graduated since May, this was my second time applying. MY FIRST EVER RN INTERVIEW INVITE. so Woohoo!

In case you were all wondering, I had been "submission under review" since Oct 3rd. This morning I got the background check and the email that I was sent to hiring manager review. Then two or three hours later I got an email inviting me for an interview with the La Jolla Panel. This is my second time applying, my first time I hadn't even graduated nursing school, let alone have my RN license, so I wasn't surprised when they said no.

My background:

Licensed in august,

Volunteered at a hospital for 2 years (not scripps)

ADN, but BSN in progress

2 years of retail experience, 6 months as a home health aid,

BLS, ACLS, NRP, and a Maternal Newborn Nursing Care Class, and precepted in OB.

Obv my goal is Labor and Delivery, but after a LONG job search, I'll do anything. Also, medsurg experience is ESSENTIAL to have.

ALSO, so if I have an interview with the La Jolla Panel, does that mean theyre only considering me for scripps la jolla, or does location placement come sometime afterwards??? I live in North County, so....you know. Encinitas would be ideal, but I'll take anything if they're willing to hire me.

Did anyone get anything else besides La Jolla? And for those that have La Jolla, did it say La Jolla DEU? that DEU is throwing me off

Mine is the 25th

I live next to La Jolla and have an interview at Chula Vista.....

DEU stands for dedicated education unit

I was thinking the same thing, I have no idea, I only got an invitation to interview at Encinitas but I live in North County so I am totally ok with that. My cousin graduated from the new grad program last year and when she interviewed, they were for both La Jolla and Encinitas on two separate days and in the end was hired in La Jolla.

I live next to La Jolla and have an interview at Chula Vista.....

I wish I could switch you lol I'm really close to Chula Vista

(Response to summerdb)

I applied a few months ago and they sent me an email declination. This time I got Encinitas, so I bet there's still a chance :)

what do you guys know about the varied start dates? The same application was for starting in january or starting in March. Do they let us choose?
