Scripps new grad program summer 2013

Published

Thought I would post another thread on here for the scripps new grad program starting this summer as applications are open for internals and soon will open for externals. I myself am an internal, applied Monday, and have an interview already set for May 7th... Good luck to all!!!

San Diego County usually starts new grads around 36 an hour. Scripps pays BSN nurses more. Not sure how much more but they state that under their FAQs section of the new grad program.

36? You mean 26? For new grads with the county...

Specializes in Near Future: ED, Future Future: ACNP!.

It's $36 for Scripps for a NG BSN. Night shift is a $4/hr diff. Unless they lowered the pay from the last cohort...

Definitely more behavior based not clinically related. My ladies had one script 2 pages on white paper then they said they wanted to ask additional questions, they pulled out what felt like talentmines and asked 3-4 out of the 10.

Anyone know how to best answer those talentmine things? They say to just be honest, but I feel like there is some sort of esoteric formula at work there

Thanks!

Are the interviewers asking us the same questions from the talent mine we already answered? Are they comparing our application answers to our interview answers??

You are looking too much into it. Just be genuine. The questions are behavioral. Why should we hire you? Why do you want to be a nurse? Don't overthink it. :)

The lady told me they were lookin for key words and phrases when answering. They have a list of key words and phrases under each question. Just be yourself and think about the art of nursing from school

could someone please share what types of question were on this "talentmine". I don't think I did that and not sure what it is! I interview on Monday..

Good luck to everyone that has an interview tmrw!! Mine is Tuesday and I'm glad it's in the afternoon because morning interviews blow.

Morning interviews aren't so bad. By afternoon they are tired!

I'm sure you did it if you have an interview. It's the personality assessment that you did after you applied. It had the scale from Strongly Disagree to Strongly agree.

@nau and all interviewees today. today is the day. good luck to you guys!
