  1. They had a lot of other new hires to see before new grads I guess. Busy! They should have returned phone calls by now.
  2. Having trouble getting a hold of the lab/physical people too. I've called twice and it says to just leave your name/#/start date and they will get back to us within 24hrs. I'm gonna try again tomorrow.
  3. I was told August 19th as well.
  4. I JUST received mine this afternoon. They said they were running behind due to Memorial/holiday wknd.
  5. Hi OBMusicRN I was wondering the same thing. I emailed someone from Scripps and she said they were running behind due to the holiday weekend. We should hear from them by the end of the week. Congrats on getting hired! Where are you going to be?
  6. I got a call from Sharp Memorial yesterday saying that I hadn't been selected I know if 1 who was selected. Not sure if they've made all the calls yet, but she made it sound like everyone who had been selected had been contacted already. On a side not, I am currently working as a home health RN and will be leaving in July to start the new grad program at Scripps. My employer is looking for some new nurses to hire. New grads welcome and no experience needed. It is great experience! I really think it helped me land the job at Scripps. Message me if you are interested :)
  7. Anyone hear anything back from Sharp Memorial?
  8. @christinejoy_d Wow that surprises me because I don't really have that many connections with Scripps. Do you have your BSN? Any nursing related work exp? Since I was offered this job I will be leaving my position as a home health nurse probably within the next couple of months. (the new grad program doesn't start till August) I work for a private family taking care of their son with a brain injury. It is really great experience and I really think it made an impact on me landing the position. They will be looking for a new nurse after I let them know I will be leaving. Are you in SD?
  9. @christinjoy_d I wish I could message you, but the site won't allow me to message users until I've been involved in "15 quality topics" haha. I graduated in May 2012. It's been a rough year! Applying, interviewing and getting rejected. I started working as a home health RN in February. I think that may have helped some. Just to show I haven't been sitting around for the past year. I also took a couple of classes to get more certifications and I have been volunteering at Sharp Memorial Hospital. I wish you the best of luck! I hope they are still making phone calls. Let me know if you hear anything :)
  10. @jrose17 Congrats!!! That is awesome. Looking forward to meeting & working with you.
  11. No problem. I am seriously so excited! I graduated last May so it's been a rough year trying to land my first job. I am thrilled. It won't let me private message until I've participated more on the site..dumb ha. Ok, so you interviewed not too long after I did. I interviewed with ------------ from the Trauma unit. I'm not familiar with ------------ or -------------. They didn't tell me how many they were hiring :/ All I heard was about 50+ for all of Scripps
  12. Hi chessieg It won't let me message for some reason. I interviewed on Monday, May 6th. I believe it was at 10:45 am. I got lucky and had the Trauma unit Interim Manager on my panel. I got the offer last night around 5:30 from the Talent Manager. When did you interview? Keeping my fingers crossed for you. Not sure how many they are hiring on that particular unit.
  13. Congrats everyone!!! I was offered a position on either the DOU or the Trauma Observation Unit at Scripps Mercy. I decided to go with Trauma :) Hoping many of you gets calls as well! Best of luck :)
  14. I think phone calls are starting to go out. I got an offer last night for Scripps Mercy Hospital on either their DOU (Definitive Observation Unit) or their Trauma Observation Unit.
