Hey all!

I wanted to start this thread for those of us that applied to Scripps New Grad Program for August 2012.

I uploaded my app and finished the Talentmine appraisal on Monday, May 14, at 2 pm. I hear that the first 500 apps (the limit that they will consider) tend to be uploaded on the first day. I am checking every couple of hours to see if my app status has been changed from: "Application Received" to: "Application Under Review". Nothing yet, (22 hours later). Those who applied on Nov. 7 2011, heard within 10 days if they were scheduled for an interview.

Let's keep each other posted, okay? Let us know if you are:

1) An "internal" or "external" candidate,

2) Any experience as a CNA or NA

3) Age

4) BSN or ADN and when you graduate(d)

5) School and GPA (if comfortable)

6) Local or from out of San Diego

7) Talentmine Category breakdown by percentages (If you saved/printed that screen with the Pie Chart out)

8) If you received an email for an interview

This will help us figure out what Scripps is looking for.

Good luck to all of us!

Specializes in Hospice & Palliative Care, Oncology, M/S.

I just received an interview email.

kv07, that's a good question. I didn't see peds included when I went through, but I may have been mistaken. Does anyone else know?

Specializes in CVICU/CCU/ICU.

Scripps does not have inpatient peds.

Just got the email for an interview! From what I've heard it's like a big cattle call with various tables representing various departments.

I got an interview email too...what I got from it was that it was going to be a panel interview with five managers? Good luck to us all...

Yeah, my email said that it would be a 30 min interview with a panel of 5 managers from the various Scripps hospitals.

Anyone know what types of questions they might be asking us?

Specializes in Hospice & Palliative Care, Oncology, M/S.

Thank you so much for this bit of information. I was wondering how so many of us have the same interview time!

No problem :)

I graduated a year later than my original cohort so I have heard a lot of interview situations for all the major SD hospitals.

I believe Scripps asks personality and "situation" type questions: name a time you disagreed or had a conflict with a coworker and how you handled it; your strengths; your 5 year plan, etc.

Scripps does not have inpatient peds.

Thank you! I just got my email today for an interview on the 6th but I am passing it up for someone who really does have an interest in adult care. Thanks.

I just got an interview email for June 4th too!

Specializes in Alzheimers, Brain Injury, Hospice.

OMG! I just read my email. I have an interview on June 6th at 12:30. I can only pray that I will take my NCLEX at the end of July. My school won't post the BSN until July 2nd. I've heard that the turn-around time with the BSN to approve testing takes from 3-6 weeks. That would be a bummer if I miss the Aug 13th deadline. Oh well, not much I can do but keep positive. Good luck to everyone! And don't despair if you haven't rec'd an interview email, yet. Give it another week.

Enjoy your Memorial Day weekend!

I graduated this past Saturday and already received my authorization to test and have already signed up for Nclex. It shouldn't be a problem for you. Good luck.

Got the interview email as well. Had a couple classmates that were internal candidates the last time around. None had RN license at the time of interview and were not offered jobs. I wasn't fortunate for a first round interview last time, so hoping for the best on June 4th.
