Scripps Health New Grad Residency August/October 2023

Hi guys! Just wanted to start a post for the cohort for August/October 2023. Just curious if anyone would know the answer to this but it says on their FAQs PDF that there is only positions in units like med/surge or telemetry however during the application, there were choices like medical acute and surgical acute. Does anyone know if those units are hiring or not? And if we could apply to multiple units?

Honestly not sure. I applied to La Jolla and Encinitas as my top locations and did tele and onc as my top two choices for units.

Hi I honestly can't remember which 3 I selected but I am pretty sure it was Trauma observation and oncology the email doesn't state what I am interviewing for just the La-Jolla New grad Residency so it will be a question I'll have to ask!!

 

As far as experience I did a nurse externship at a TCU unit along with other units like the ER and IMC, as I sometimes floated!

That basically means that you were referred to the hiring manager at your selected location. The hiring manager(s) will look at your application and then they will decide if they will offer an interview. When I was going through the hiring process as a CNA at Scripps they sent an email with a link to join a video interview meeting with the manager of the unit that you'll be on. I received a call with an offer I think later the same day as my interview or next morning and then they sent an official offer via email. Hope this helps!

Those who applied on the last day (or the last few days) what does the status say on your app? Mine just says completed
