Scores On Kaplan Question Trainers

Published

Hi guys! So I take my NCLEX for the third time on next Wed the 18th! :uhoh3: I am freaking out! I have finished almost all of the qbank except for 500 questions with a 73% and my question trainer scores (1-6) are as follows:

1) 63

2) 59

3) 58

4) 60

5) 62

6) 58

I will be doing QT 7 tomr. I would just like to know if anyone has passed with scores like these and how similar the NCLEX was compared to Kaplan. This is my first time using Kaplan and I used ATI in the past. I have also read through the Kaplan book and took the week long course in the classroom. Any info/advice would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks! :)

Congrats girly...keep us posted and motivated...email me when you get a chance [email protected]

frst time i did nclex...didnt use kaplan and failed @ 265 questions.... Second time i used kaplan ....i passed with 75...i love their decision tree and application questions...everyone is different but my overall qbank score was 53 percent... diagnostic = 63.3 QT1=59 QT2=59 QT3=59 QT4=58 QT5=55 QT6=58 QT7=60, readiness test=61 what i did was pay no attention to scores, but i knew i was getting better/ more comfy with questions and i used lachrity, saunders and nclex 4000 CD...i took my exam 6 mons after I failed the first and passed @ 75 questions..... I think your scores are good and i feel kaplan was way harder then nclex...the sata questions on nclex even appeared easy....i would say i probably got 60 questions right on my nclex out of 75...... also memorize yur lab values...and the infection ctrl mnemonics....peace

Can you share the infection control Mnemonics? Thanks.

Hi guys,

I took NCLEX RN in Sept. 13, 2012. I took kaplan review course and I have to say that I didn't do well at all!

Here are my question trainner scores and the readiness test.

Diagnostic test 53%

Q1 - 49%

Q2 - 56%

Q3 - 56%

Q4 - 56%

Q5 - 62%

Q6 - 58%

Q7 - 62%

Readiness test - 65%

As you can see these scores were so low that what I was expected. Most of my friends said all you need is 60-65%, but the higher you get the greater chance you will pass the nclex exam.

I watched all the video clips from Kaplan (it was so boring and take FOREVER, but I don't want to waste my money). I prepared for 2.5 months, studied at least 3-4hrs day and do at least 150 questions a day. I recommended you to do 265 questions a day, six days a week! I have to say that I was extremely sick of studying, but I have to force myself. Anyway, these were couple materials that I used to study for NCLEX RN.

1. Kaplan RN review course (online)

2. Saunders Comprehensive Review for the NCLEX-RN® Examination, 5th Edition (must read all the chapters!)

3. NCLEX-RN Q&A Flash Cards (I highly recommended because most of the questions are similar to Kaplan nclex questions)

4. NCLEX Prioritization, Delegation, and Assignment: Practice Exercises for the NCLEX Examination (I also recommend you to use this textbook. About 7-10 out of 75 questions on my exam were based from this textbook.

From my perspective, I don't recommend you to study the questions from Saunders textbooks because those questions were too easy.

Anyway, as I said I took the NCLEX RN exam on 09/13/12. The computer screen shut off at 75 questions and I was freaking out because I knew that I was failing. I came home did the pearson vue trick to check my result and I got a 'good pop'! Two days later I paid Pearson vue $7.95 dollars to check my result - it showed that I pass!!!!!!!! I was so happy.

Best wishes!!

so im taking my test in a week..and i just completed QT 6. my score was a 55% and i dont know how to feel. i know that im supposed to be getting at least a 60-65%. actually im kind of freaking out right now. lol. i know im not supposed to get caught up in predictor scores..but they do say that QT 6 and QT 7 is the most reflective test of what the nclex could be. my scores are qt1 60 qt2 58.7 qt3 53 qt4 59.3 and qt5 58 and qt6 55. i kind of feel discouraged at the moment. what should i do? any words of encouragement? any tips? i need it asap =( thanks in advance.

What is your readiness score ? I'm so anxious too I want to study more but my boss says I have to relax so I can answer questions easily, because if tired and anxious you'll gonna be blank... We can do it just keep On praying

You can find & purchase access to the NCLEX PN qbanks (which include the Kaplan trademarked decision tree to help breakdown questions) at http://www.kaptest.com. There are no qtrainers for NCLEX-PN as that is an NCLEX-RN only product.

If you sign up at the Kaplan website they often have free practice NCLEX exams as well as other sample products

The q-trainers are RN only. There are PN& RN q-banks and review courses. The q-banks access are included with the courses or you can purchase only the q-banks.

QT2: 62.7%

QT3: 57%

QT4: 65.3%

QT5: 65.3%

QT6: 64%
