Oh the horrendous wait.....
That's what I was thinking....holy cow! It is super accurate, I got the good pop up. But I completely understand what you mean. It doesn't seem real until you see it on the state board of nursing website. Not to mention I am sure you would love to start job hunting. Hope it happens for you soon. :)Emma

Let the job hunt begin - new grad!
I am not sure if I am posting in the right forum. Hello All! I just wanna say I DID IT! I passed and now I am a NURSE! I am so excited! I had a few questions. 1. My first question is, did you apply for jobs even if the minimum requirement listed at least one year of experience. I am looking all over the net (most facilities list jobs on-line)and this is what I am coming across and I am somewhat deflated. What did you do? Am I restricted to applying to just "new grad" positions? 2. I am scared super scared. Of course I am excited, but I am more scared. Please tell me you guys felt this way as a new nurse as well. 3. If you have a report sheet that you absolutely love, will you please email me a copy if you have one. [email protected] I had one from my school, but I am not a fan. TIA, Emma

PVT trick - what does this mean....did I fail?
PVT worked! I took NCLEX on Feb. 28th and passed!!! I did the Kaplan review course. REWIND: I was one of those students that read I would say 90% of everything assigned in nursing school. There were times I had to prioritize doing a concept map over reading but I can say I studied all the time. I took Kaplan about 3 weeks after graduation. Then I would spend 3 to 6 hours a day studying. I took my boards on the 28th. But let me say, I did not study everyday. I was sick, my daughter was very sick with pneumonia and I was just plain burnt out. My suggestions: 1.Do Kaplan if you can afford it (I know it's expensive, it was a gift or else I probably couldn't have done it either) 2. Do all of the LOD (learn on demand) content (especially lesson 8 it breaks down the READINESS TEST) 3. Do all the LOD videos. 4. Get a writing tablet and write down the stuff that you are either rusty on, do not remember, or plain never understood. And go back and research those areas. I did about 73% if the Q bank questions and I was at a 60% My test scores were as follows: Diagnostic 62% Q trainer 1 - 66.8 Q trainer 2 - 60 Q trainer 3 - 57 Q trainer 4 - 62 Q trainer 5 - 61 Q trainer 6 - 66 Q trainer 7 - 61 Readiness of 63.3 % (this score according to Kaplan says you have a 94.5% chance of passing the test) I passed on the first attempt with 75 questions. You can do it too. I took 2 tylenol PM the night before the test. Got some Rescue Remedy (found at any health food store) and took that the morning of and I was suprisingly calm through the whole test, my heart was not beating out of my chest like it had been for the HESI. Now don't get me wrong. I was a wreck the days leading up to the test. I didn't feel ready, I wanted so bad to postpone my date AGAIN, like I had the 3 times before. When I went into the test, I tried so hard to remind myself to use the decision tree, read each answer, don't just go with the first answer. Sometimes, I had to remind myself of that during the test, because it is that easy. If you can get over your fears and nerves. WE KNOW THIS INFO. trust in yourself that your instructors prepared you well and that if you passed nursing school you can pass the NCLEX. My time in there flew by, it felt as if I had been there maybe 30 min. I was there 1.5 hrs when my computer shut off and I was so not ready to leave. I thought for sure I had failed, there is no way I had passed. I was waiting to get into the heavy duty anatomy physiology crap....nothing like that. The questions are just like Kaplan and I felt as ease taking the test. I guess that's why I thought I had failed, there was no way I could feel that comfortable and have answered correctly, no way! BUT I DID and so can you! Best of luck, you got this! Emma

"Our records indicate that you have recently scheduled this exam. Please contact Member Board for further assistance. Another registration cannot be made at this time." I know there is another pop-up that means you have to wait longer. I thought I save that thread. I can't find it and I can't think right now. Does anyone know? Thanks, Emma

Taking NCLEX 2-28-12 Prayers Appreciated
I'll be praying for the both of us - I test the 28th also, I have rescheduled 3 or 4 times and am finally taking it this Tuesday along with you. I am testing in AZ, what about you? I have a 94% chance to pass according to the conversion score I resceived after taking my Readiness test, but that was over a month ago....fingers crossed I have only gained more knowledge, confidence, and testing taking skills since then!

Kaplan scores....please help
hmmm wondering where my other post went. My readiness score was a 63.3%, but that was a month ago. I haven't studied as much since then, due to many illnesses between myself and my two little rascals. So I am hoping I retained a lot of info. It's kinda that inbetween stage where you feel so much time has passed that I need to extend to review, but on the same hand I am so burnt out from studying. Thanks YCenetCMA

Just did my last two q trainer 6 and 7. On 6 I got a 63.3 and on 7 I got a 61.13. Kinda bummed about that. I test Tuesday. I think I am going to read over the rationales from all my tests for the next two days. I am just burnt out on studying.

April 2012 Nclex takers !! Let's support each other!!
PikaPink, could you email the revised study guide to me as well, please. [email protected] thanks! I took my question Trainer 7 last night off of Kaplan. Anyone know what you are suppose to have? I can't remember what they said either above 60 or 65, I think I have even heard 62 for Qtrainer 7. I got a 61.13, hope thats good enough.

April 2012 Nclex takers !! Let's support each other!!
Initially, I changed it due to my daughter having pneumonia. I had attended Kaplan and was feeling quite confident. I had scored a 63.3% on my readiness exam at the end of the Kaplan course, the instructor passed around a conversion sheet and at that point I had a 94% chance of passing if I were to take the test the next day. Fast FWD to when I got home from Kaplan. Daughter sick for 2 weeks got absolutely no studying done.....then I got sick for 2 weeks no studying done. Now I feel as if so much time has passed since graduation (December) that I don't feel prepared and that I need to review more. But at the same time when I try to review I am so scattered that I dont' feel that I focus on one thing long enough. I feel as if I jump around a lot and don't get a lot accomplished.
