It really depends on how good you are in science, If your just good with science you can do it, but it'll take work. I remember my last semester before nursing school I was taking two sciences (bio & Chem) plus statistics and two english classes, I made it through and passed but lets just say that my prior GPA of 3.6 hasn't recovered from it as yet!!!
It's possible! I took Chem and Anatomy together and did fine...and now I'm taking Physio and Micro together....and it's not so bad. I would advise not to take anymore classes along with them...and try to keep a relatively free schedule outside of school...like not working, for example. Good luck!
I would not reccomend this one at all. I tried to take Medical Bio, and Anatomy in one semester before, and ended up doing poorly in both of them. I was concentrating on one area of study, then lacking in the other aspects. So, my two cents say don't do it. I think it is possible, however.
I just finished up taking APII and Chemistry together. It was definitely a challenge because I am a mother of 2 little ones as well. I pulled off A's in both but it didn't come without some serious studying. So you'll just have to determine how much time you have to study for both classes. It can definitely be done though.
I'm taking micro and a&p 2 right now. It has alot to do with your professor as to whether or not this is managable. My micro class isn't bad, but my a&p requires so much time this quarter that I can't put the time into studying for micro that I should. My a&p teacher is wacko and this class is so much harder than #1 that she taught I'm actually worried that I might fail. I've never failed a class ever, not when I got my BA the first time around and not since I went back to school, but this class is horrible. If you have it on good authority that your teachers are good ones (as in they actually test you based on what you were taught by them), then go for it.
I am starting the venture AGAIN into nursing school pre-req's...at Green River CC in Auburn, WA. I took A&P 1 & 2 and Micro at Highline CC 2 years ago and did really bad, so I am starting over at Green River. This summer I am taking A&P 100 as a intro course to get my brain going again and so when fall starts it's not too overwhelming. I am taking A&P 1, Chem 121 and Eng 101 (online) and am nervous about taking those two sciences together as well. Sounds like people can do it...and they even have full-time jobs and KIDS!!! I don't have any kids yet thankfully and am married. My hubby said I can work less, but I still have to work atleast 3-4 days a week to help with the bills. I am sooo nervous though, because this is my last shot to do well in these classes, or I am not getting into nursing school. I think I will do better this time around though, because I am older and committed and REALLY want this!!! I just need all the advice to do well! Where are you going to school at?

Hello everyone,
I was just wondering would you take a class if you got less than a 3.5, like a 3.3 in a science class. Also would it be okay if you were taking A&P2 with Microbiology? What would you do? I'm in Washington state and wondering what I should do, or just take one science class at a time and if I were to take the A&P2 with Micro, those would be the only classes during that quarter!
