  1. so I finally got a reply from them, and I am on the alternate list....more waiting...great! if you know anything about the alternates list, or if you know if any accepted people aren't joining csuf...pleeease do let me know! thanks!
  2. oh really? i didn't know they were going to have an alternates list. i think i will call them because if i email them i know i wont get a reply. thanks!
  3. i'm hoping that they send out acceptances in batches and not all at once. i recall that you applied your first here? it's possible that they are going in chronological order. hmmm. as of now i wish they would just tell me...yes or no! i hate waiting so long and not knowing what i'll be doing in the fall! so scary! but again, congrats! so happy for youu!!!!
  4. oh wait just kidding you already told me!
  5. no way! well, congrats!!!!!!! hmm, still waiting here...if you don't mind sharing, can you please tell me your stats? just to see if i even have a chance?
  6. stillllllllllllllllll waiting......sigh..
  7. something that really worked for me was having a study group. explain the concepts to your study partner, listen to your partner explain it, and discuss it together! this way, you are not merely reading the terms from your textbook or notes. you are hearing the concepts/terms out loud and you are using them yourself. this will help make it part of your everyday vocabulary, rather than a bunch of random facts you are memorizing. you will be able to retain the info better as well...which will be beneficial in nursing school as well as in your future career. i hope this helps. all the best! :)
  8. just finished mine over the past year! good luck to you! though you'll be busy studying, enjoy it! :)
  9. I thought I was the only one in the whole world going through this horrendous wait! Haha! I applied to CSUF last fall and I'm still waiting to hear back from them! Initially they said that we'd hear back by the end of the semester which was like over 3 weeks ago...but I just called the dept. yesterday and they said it would take another couple of weeks! Just great! Well, good luck to you all! :]
  10. as far as i know the numbers differ greatly within the different cal state universities. at the fullerton campus, there are about 350 applicants for 48 or so spots. i recall reading that at some campuses they take about 48 out of a total of 900 applicants!! pretty competitive!
  11. congrats! :balloons: good luck in nursing school!!
  12. uhhh i can't think about anything BUT getting into the program. im applying to csu fullerton which has a very new program...do you think new programs are easier to get into? i know there's no logic to it....but just wondering, plus, i'm desperate. ahhh. i have a 3.7 overall and 3.56 pre reqs and a 92.4 on the TEAS....what you do think? do i have a chance? they said last year the average applicant (not accepted) was around a 3.2 with a 80 on the teas.....but then again that was the average applicant....any day now i'll hear back from them...
  13. they were straight forward from what i remember! i took it last year so it's a little fuzzy! haha! are you allowed to take it twice? i hear most people improve drastically the second time they take it...
  14. sorry, i never actually used any study guides. but from what i've heard from other people, they are a pretty good representation of the actual exam. i found the reading section on the test very easy. i don't think i missed any in that section. good luck!
  15. definitely, yes. there is a lot of critical thinking such as analyzing graphs, diagrams, pictures...etc
