Starting ADN program in 21 days! So nervous but excited!! I only have nursing courses to take, I've taken all pre reqs (thank God) I've started studying for dosage calculations, I just want to stay ahead of he game.. Have a lot to juggle, husband, kids, thank God I don't have to work right now. So excited for the journey!
My orientation was last night and it went well. We went over who all of the staff were and how we would use them as resources. We went over financial aid briefly and how each of us will meet separately if we haven't already; how to access the school portal and how important it is that we check it on a daily basis; what records we will need such as physicals, shot records, urine 10 panel, etc; we had our pictures taken for ID badges; tried on uniforms so we would know what sizes we will need and can get those ordered. They gave us all a free t-shirt and pens along with a folder from the college with all of our paperwork and information we will need in it. It was informative and I know how to get ahold of anyone of the staff now :)Now I feel frantic to get everything remaining done. I need a flu shot, my shot records, my physical (which I had completed this morning), my urine 10 panel, and my CPR needs renewed.
When do U start your program? That's a lot to do in a short period of time sheesh!! I had to do all of that too!! Thanks gosh they have it to me months ago! Good luck ! I had registration today, and my orientation is Monday and Tuesday, then classes begin Wednesday! Congrats to the both of us, many would love to be starting a program right now. It's a big accomplishment !
I start January 22nd. I got accepted last minute so I can't complain. Everyone else has known what was needed. Luckily I have access to get it all done but it's also partly going to cost some $ too. That's ok I'm looking forward to being a broke nursing student, lol. Good luck to us both!! I hope we love it.
Hard work always pays off.

Our last week before full time ADN students...what are you doing with it? I keep wanting to study something but then my cousin who just graduated keeps telling me to enjoy it instead. Unfortunately I'm sick so haven't felt much liking doing anything other than movies on the sofa all weekend.
