i received my uniforms today. actually, they are not bad looking at all. i purchased a dress and pants set, as the dress uniform was required. have you purchased your uniforms and how do they look?

, debi. have you called the school to find out?

The more I read, the happier I am with my school. All of us will be wearing navy scrubs with a white lab coat for clinicals.

White blouse, white pants or skirt and white tunic with blue trim around the armholes...or white lab coat with blue collar. All exactly alike, ordered from the same company.

i am due to start school august 19th and do not know anything about uniforms. still haven't heard anything about an orientation either. i have 4 weeks until i begin. i wonder how long they take before they let you know these things.

thanks

debi

debi, give your nursing counselor a call, or better yet, if you're close to the school, drop by and ask. just act like you're all excited (which you are) and want to know if there is anything you can get started on.

remember things can get lost in the mail (or the shuffle). for example, last semester i applied for an academic scholarship then (luckily) for some reason i decided to check on the paperwork, and it was lost, they had no record of it. good thing i checked because i did end up getting the scholarship.

marie! how do you like you uniforms?

Picked up my uniforms Monday. Not too bad, white snapfront tunic top and navy pants. In the "olden days" when I had first attended nursing school. we had to wear a stiff-looking dress or pants suit with a big white bib plus a cap that would rival the Flying Nun! Our school patch goes on our lab coat.

Darby, you crack me up, man!!! (sexy skirts/glasses!)

Anyway, my school has navy blue polo shirts for RN's and Burgundy for the LVN's with whitw pants (buy anywhere) and a white vest w/ ample pockets (but WAY too expensive, from a catalogue we were required to purchase from). Oh, and let's not forget, drumroll, the infamous school patch. (We do get to sew them on our vests ourselves though.)

Can't wait to get started, Aug. 19th for me!!

:D

p.s. I wear glasses, Darby!! Will that qualify me as a sexy nurse? Or do I have to wear the skirt too?? LOL!
