Just wanting to see where in texas are you located and salary wise????

I'm a new nurse and landed a school nurse job , I'm an LVN

Specializes in Pediatrics, school nursing.

I'm in Texas, and we follow the same salary scale as the teachers. The only LVNs that my district hires are a few, as substitutes, and it pays $80/day. All of the permanent nurses are RNs.

I'm in Texas and my pay is $17, 500 a year. Ouch...that hurt to say out loud! LOL I'm fortunate that I don't "have" to work so the time off and not having to pay daycare for our kids works out for me.
