Confused ....... I have seen that tomorrow is School Nurse's Day and I have also seen that it is May 11 ???
Wanted to see what you know ??
Either way, I will be overlooked just like in years past. I'm okay with it though because the hurt from this is long gone !
I am thankful for this awesome group of supporters. Without you, my day would suck a lot more.
HAPPY SCHOOL NURSE'S DAY EVERYONE !!
Here is a lovely article from our own SnowyJ. Beautiful job.
We can take care of each other here.

This came up in my FB newsfeed today as well. If it has already been shared, sorry about that. It gives a good synopsis of what we do and people asked me that all the time when I was still working as a SN.
P.S. I was remembered at work this week with a gift bag of hand lotion, a wallet with a nurses saying on it which I cannot remember, and a baggie of candy and tissue with reasons for using them all which I cannot remember either.
I'm sending the wallet to my granddaughter who is three and will appreciate it - plus it is made of plastic so no animals died to make it.
Nobody at my school said anything to me about nurse's week or School Nurse's Day. Then on Wednesday I put one of those flyers from NASN that said School Nurse's Day May 11th on the outside of my clinic door....suddenly, people were telling me "Happy Nurse's Day!"
The principal came to me later in the day with some last minute roses and a Dr. Pepper from the vending machine to say thanks:up:
My nursing supervisor did bring all of us a cupcake during the day though so that was nice.
Oh, and a funny thing that just happened. I had a 4th grader come in for his daily med, he saw the flowers and asked what they were for. When I told him it was for School Nurse's day/Nurse's week, he said "Nurse's week?? I didn't even know that was like...a thing!"
Now he knows...

Happy (belated) School Nurse Day, everyone - wishing I could give loads of candy, flowers and beer to such a special bunch of people. Thank you for everything that you do. Cheers!
