OMG! I read the headline and thought "wow, she's good. She caught leukemia on an eye exam?" Ooopsss. Way to go school nurse. :)

This is awesome, but am I the only one who thought pupil was referring to the kid's eye? I thought the nurse spotted something in his eye that led to a leukemia diagnosis and was really curious what that was...

Translucent skin? Heh? Pardon my dumb, but I have horrible images in my head and google isn't yielding much in the way of image searches. What does she mean, translucent skin? The leg pain thing I know about. 3 kids I know personally who've been dx'd with leukemia their primary sx was leg pain. Hence leg pain FREAKS ME OUT. What's this skin stuff?
