This might be a weird question, but I was wondering if anyone in/or through an LPN program had applied and/or received scholarships?
The reason I'm asking is my instructor at my school mentioned that scholarships are available to the LPN program. She said while we are in class she will tell us when to apply etc... but then went on to say they can't help us find scholarships other than those (wth?)
I tried to google LPN scholarships in Pennsylvania but can't come up with much from the search. I come from a very poor family and am trying my best to come up with my first tuition payment but am thinking scholarships would definitely help me pay a little for my school.
Any help is appreciated. :)

Google WIA program. It's a financial support program for those with low income pursuing a LVN program. You MUST attend a school of their choice FIRST and apply BEFORE the program starts. I was prequalified to receiving wia funds, but my lvn program was not on the training provider list. Call the service and say you are interested in becoming a lvn and need some financial assistance from the wia program. Their lots of hurdles you will have to jump over such as attending an orientation, meet with an advisor to update on the jobs you applied for, take a TABE test, etc. so that's why its good to apply for it 6 months before the program starts wish you the best.

Most nursing scholarships want you to have passed 1-2 semesters of med-surgand that does not apply to us LPN students. I'm still looking, so I'll let you know if I find anything. I am finishing my first semester next week....1 down 2 to go!

Fafsa... fill it out and get federal loans and grants. That's the only way I can afford college.
