  1. Indiana state university has an online program for LPN to BSN and I was wondering if anyone has any information on that program. All responses are greatly appreciated!!!!!
  2. I just learned about the LPN-BSN program at ISU today, and I would like to hear about experiences from current or former students in the online program. All comments, experiences, and suggestions are recommended and greatly appreciated.
  3. I'm kinda in the same situation and I truly understand. I have an Associate's degree from KKC and I went to ATS and got my LPN. Now I want to go back for my BSN and Resurrection is my 1st choice as well and I also need 4 more classes to enroll; General Chemistry, Statistics, Intro to Computers, and Life Span. I think I will go back to CCC and take those classes and apply next year, but I will definitely be going back!!!!
  4. My test cut off at 85 questions and I left the testing center in tears and after talking to my family I realized that I needed to chill. 85 questions mean you really knew alot or nothing and I'm gonna go out on a limb and say you knew something and you passed!!!! Good luck and keep the faith!!!! #dreamtheimpossible
  5. What state are you in?? Research some Grants and/or schlorships in your respective state. I had the same issue, but I applied for a grant through the Illinois Department of Public Health and THANKFULLY I was awarded the grant and thats how I finished paying for my last Semester of LPN school. Good luck and I wish you ALL the best of luck!!!!!
  6. Well, I have been working in the ALF for almost 4 months now and I also got a part time job at a Nursing home where I have worked for over a month. I just dont think that Nursing homes are my niche....At All!!!!! I heard a nurse say that nurses who work at ALF are lazy, and to that I say.....LIES!!!!! In the nursing field you have to find what works for you, and what doesn't work for you and right now...ALF work for me and LTC don't. I will be in ALF until I receive my RN degree....Decision Made!!!!!
  7. I work in an ALF and I've been working there for a few weeks, and I was told that I have to do assessments and care plans on the residents at admission, 14 days, quarterly, and annually and that a RN would sign them. When I question them about this, because I'm an LPN and I know we don't do assessments or care plans I'm told that I'm "reading too much into it." Is this something that other ALF do as well and is it legal?

Wow, that is pretty low because I'm an LPN new grad and I started at a LTC making $19.50/hr and I live in Chicago. How is the cost of living in TN?
  9. This is kind of off the subject, but what online school are you enrolled in?
