Does anyone have any suggestions on how I would find some scholarships online? When I type in a seach, I just get GOBS of stuff most of which don't even apply to my situation. Im an LPN in school for her RN and need some help next semester......any ideas??

Many BONs have scholarships for LPNs going for their RN. Have you looked into this? Also, many hospitals (at least in my area) will help pay for your RN as long as you agree to work for them for a certain amount of time after graduation.
Thanks for your reply. Yes I know most facilitys will pick up part of all of your tuition costs..but sometimes you dont Really want to be .. how can I put it..STUCK with that facility lol. Boy its hard to find a place that you really feel you can settle in with. Am I the only nurse here who feels that way?
Im leaving a job at the end of this week that paid me about $25/hr as an LPN because they cannot be flexable with my schedule with nursing school. There is a no lateness rule for any reason..and if my class ends at 2:30pm and it takes me over a half hour to Get there..I'll be written up. So Im taking a local job in a nursing home that pays only about $19/hr but says they Will be flexable with me. Im a bit worried about the pay cut, but hopefully I'll manage. I need to provide the benefits for my family.
So I wondered if there were other scholarships that I could tap into...besides the work ones. I'll keep looking thanks!

in MA I have a job lined up already for when I finish my 1st year of school and am eligible to get LPN. I have been promised a min of 30.00 an hour once I pass the test! I will work all summer then back to school to finish up with RN.
The job was in Delaware.

You can find some scholarship information at fastweb.com. It's a free, site, but has lots of pop-up advertisements. But you can get valid information. Also your states BON, or the school your attending should have something to offer.

well i didn't realize this thread was over a year old.. bon is board of nursing
I'm only surprised because of what www.payscale.com has and the nursing students in Socal say it's about $20 per hour down here average. That's good to know it's higher.
How do nurses work on contract? Is it thru an agency?
