  1. I have taken 2 N-Clex--PN and RN and I can tell you I walked out of both feeling as if I failed. Both times I was surprised and passed.
  2. nitenurs2 posted a topic in LPN to RN
I just want to introduce myself since this is my first day out of lurk-dom here on allnurses. I am one of the old timers---I was an LPN for 15 yrs and graduated from an on-line bridge program in December. I sat for my RN boards on Thursday and PASSED! Any info I can offer--just ask,
  3. Many BONs have scholarships for LPNs going for their RN. Have you looked into this? Also, many hospitals (at least in my area) will help pay for your RN as long as you agree to work for them for a certain amount of time after graduation.
  4. I became an LPN first, then let my employer pay for my RN. This way, I didn't have to deal with the waiting list and having all of the pre-reqs done. I worked while I got my RN. Since the state paid for mt LPN (through a displaced workers program, because my then employer was going out of business) and my current employer paid for my RN, I will have pretty much gotten it all for free by the time all is said and done.
