Schedules for this upcoming semester

Published

Hey everyone! I was just wondering what you guys are taking this upcoming semester. We can reply here and just check up on each other! I am taking Chemistry, Microbiology, Statistics, and Nutrition! I am prepared to whoop this semester's butt!!! Lol :) also has anyone taken Stats yet? Any pointers? Was it hard? What about the other classes I'm taking? Let's discuss!!!

I'm taking A&P I, Microbiology, Biomedical Ethics, College Algebra, English Comp II, and Developmental Psychology.A&P I and College Algebra are the last of my pre-reqs, the rest are co-reqs I'm completing so I won't have to do them once I'm in the program, if I'm accepted for fall admission. I plan to finish up A&P II over the summer, and I'll be completely done with pre-reqs and co-reqs, with the exception of Statistics, which I'll take in the summer of 2014, since my ADN program doesn't hold any nursing classes over the summer.
I was surprised how much I enjoyed College Algebra!! Lol. Are you good in math?
My classes this semester include , Anatomy and Physiology l, Microbiology, and nutrition, I have one more pre-requisite to take in the summer which is Anatomy and Physiology ll and hopefully I can apply to the Nursing program in the fall 2013-2014...I'm excited to be finished with these bio classes... I wish everyone the best this semester, let's keep updating about our semester ups and down...
We wish you the best too! & yes let's keep each other updated!

sounds like my situation only instead of nutrition I have medical terminology. Hopefully our ups GREATLY outweigh our downs! lolbvs

I will be taking A&P II along with Microbiology this semester. Then I should be wrapping up my pre-reqs with Developmental Psychology this summer. I'm applying in May to getting in nursing school in September. I am anxious yet exited about this whole process! Good luck to everyone!

I'm taking anatomy &physiology 1, chemistry, general Psychology, and nutrition. My goal is straight As this semester!

I am taking Micro, AP2, and Nutrition. I took statistics and my advice is to keep up with it!! If you do not understand something, ask your teacher!

I will keep up with it! Thanks!

I am claiming straight A's as well!

I'm taking developmental psych and patho along with a couple of core classes I left for the end and a history of nursing type class.

I really liked statistics, but I've always liked math. It's all word problems, which I used to hate but learned to like. As long as you take sufficient notes and keep up with homework you should do well. I didn't have to study much because doing the homework and taking the quizzes is studying.

So I just switched my schedule.

I am now taking:

A&P I

Microbiology

Developmental Psych

Finite Mathematics

I'm also debating whether or not to retake a creative writing class that I failed 4 years ago (I just withdrew too late). But I don't know that 5 classes with A&P, Micro & Math would be too much.

Any opinions?

I don't work except for a few hours on the weekends.

My friend took A&P 2 along with Microbiology, Developmental Psychology, and College Algebra. She did well in all classes. A's and B's. I say go for it. If the writing class wasn't difficult, then it shouldn't be a load or too much at one time. Why did you drop it the first time? If it was too much then I would probably hold off. Though who am I to talk. I'm taking Microbiology, Chemistry, Nutrition, and Statistics. Wanna switch? Lol! You'll do great!!!

Thanks for the words of encouragement! I dropped it the first time because I was working full time and school wasn't a priority. Such a bummer I didn't have my priorities in order, one less class I'd have to take now! But I've been back in school full time and my last two semesters have been straight A's, so I'm back on the wagon :)

I took Nutrition last semester, it was my favorite science class so far! I had an awesome professor who was really passionate about dietetics, and her excitement rubbed off on me.

I was debating whether or not to take chem with A&P, but if I recall high school correctly (which I may not be because it was ages ago) I think I'll leave that beast to be a solo science in fall.

I hate that I have all these tough classes left, I wish I would've known I wanted to be a nurse when I first started school so I could have spaced out my classes better. I'm trying to take the 4 big sciences, 2 maths and 3 humanities so I can apply to spring 2014, meaning I have to have the most important classes done before fall 2013 so I can apply and get in conditionally on receiving A's and B's in my final semester.

Sorry for the explosion of info, sometimes you just have to release to other pre-nursing students because they're the only ones that understand!
