Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hey everyone! I couldn't find a thread for those applying to the Associates in Nursing, Basic Program at the State College of Florida (SCF) for the Spring 2019 start term, so I decided to start one!

I have all 4 prereqs done and 3 of the 5 gen ed courses completed, for a total of 7 out of 9 completed courses.

4 Prereqs:

A&P I - B

A&P II - B

Math (Statistics) - A

Eng Comp I - A

Prereq GPA = 3.43

5 Gen Ed:

Human Growth and Dev - In Progress

Eng Comp II - A

Microbiology - A

General Psych - B

Humanities - N/A

Overall GPA (7/9 courses) = 3.54

I plan on applying to both campuses, but Venice will be my first choice.

What do everyone else's stats look like!?

I also attended an information session for this program, so if anyone has any questions, just ask. I will try to give you as much information as possible.

TTFN!

They sent out the emails early! I got into Brandentons campus! anyone else in my class?

Hey !! I got into Venice campus. I wanted to go to Bradenton but just happy I got in !! Anyone else at Venice

Didn't get in. í ½í¸¢ But that's ok, because I was accepted to Keiser-Sarasota's BSN-Fast Track Program. I wish everyone the best of luck in your nursing program!

Congrats !!!! Wish you the best of luck

I didn't get in. I dont know what to do now.

I'm thinking about applying to them too. What days are their classes? What prerequisites do you need to get in?

For the BSN Fast Track, it is Monday through Friday. But I don't know about their Associates. Have you looked into FSW? Their deadline is Oct 15th, I believe.

Where do you live? Have you thought about SPC or HCC the deadline has passed but you would be able to apply for fall. Also another option is to do lpn first I heard it's much easier to get into the transition program.. SPC said they don't even fill their seats in the transition program..

I was accepted to Venice campus too! Congrats everyone :)

I live in north port and can't travel to far. I have thought about fsw. I dont have statistics yet so I would have to take that first.

Don't give up! I was in the same boat I had such a hard time passing the stupid teas test, I felt like I wanted to give up and didn't know what else to do. But trust me keep trying do give up. I decided to appl

to Other schools this one being one of them and I got it. I say all this to say again do not give up think positive and tell yourself every day that you will get into a nursing program.
