SCF Nursing Spring 2019

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hey everyone! I couldn't find a thread for those applying to the Associates in Nursing, Basic Program at the State College of Florida (SCF) for the Spring 2019 start term, so I decided to start one!

I have all 4 prereqs done and 3 of the 5 gen ed courses completed, for a total of 7 out of 9 completed courses.

4 Prereqs:

A&P I - B

A&P II - B

Math (Statistics) - A

Eng Comp I - A

Prereq GPA = 3.43

5 Gen Ed:

Human Growth and Dev - In Progress

Eng Comp II - A

Microbiology - A

General Psych - B

Humanities - N/A

Overall GPA (7/9 courses) = 3.54

I plan on applying to both campuses, but Venice will be my first choice.

What do everyone else's stats look like!?

I also attended an information session for this program, so if anyone has any questions, just ask. I will try to give you as much information as possible.

TTFN!

Nice. Sounds like you're on the opposite side of SCF in comparison to me. I don't know much about SPC, but Hillsborough seems like a good school.

Yes I live in St Pete. And SPC is really good but a tough school.

Awesome. I am currently looking at FSW and Polk State in addition to SCF. I feel pretty confident about FSW. I am currently having some difficulty with Polk State and transferring credits from my Bachelors. I am going to try to run up there to meet with an adviser either tomorrow or next week.

Yeah I'm having similar issues with SPC. I just hope everything works out

Hi! I applied to both campuses with all 9/9 classes done and a nursing gpa of 3.8. Reallyyyyy hoping to get in!!

Hey guys!

I just applied, I have a 4.0 pre req and a 3.79 over all gpa and 9/9 classes. I'm really hoping to get into the Bradenton campus but am super nervous about the competitiveness and limited seats for one school. I've applied to HCC and SPC as well but all schools have different requirements and absorbed my GPA differently so I have no idea where I'll get in, i'm just hoping to get into one. I just want to be a nurse so bad

Good luck to everyone who has applied!
