a 33 yr old women bed-ridden with slight dementia. At the moment she is restrained on her bed for attempting to get up several times. An order was written to give Tylenol Suppository.

I placed her in "Sims Position" (on her side--with blankets), and gave her Tylenol rectal. She then tells me that she needs to "poop." What do i do???????

Also do i restrain her again???? After my order is done.

Tylenol is given for a fever of 104 degrees.

An order was given only for Tylenol Suppository. I do not see a restraining order anywhere on the paper.

Always need an order for restraints. Why is she restrained? Is she a fall risk? Restraints should be last option, as for the suppository, she may feel the urge due to the rectal administration. Call MD to verify restraint orders and reassess temp after 20-30min. Watch for BM.
